Discrimination is alive and well today. I decided to head over to a pretty upscale Nordstroms to do some shopping for some clothes. I was dressed in a ripped jeans, Abercrombie outfit. I'm 25, white, and was laid back, listening to my ipod, and just minding my own business.
I head over to a dressing room, and it looked pretty upscale and everyone was dressed up in suits. So I'm about to walk in and I say "guys, hey what's up, I need a room."
They look at me condescendingly, and in a snobby like manner and say "oh, uhmmm, errrr, you can't really use this room." Then they laugh. Then they say, "well okay look, just this once you can but in future reference, pleeeease use the otherrrr room." And they look annoyed and point to the other room.
I then notice another person who was sitting down by them, sneer at me.
I realized they were giving me a hard time for whatever reason. SO i went to the manager, and she was totally surprised as she said that room was avail to all.
