The article has an interesting quote:

Though skeptics may argue that God lives only in the mind of the faithful, Newberg suggests that the opposite conclusion is equally valid: "If there is a God, it makes perfect sense that He would create a way for us to communicate with Him."

to prevent global warming or protect the environment? These people live lifestyles of waste that the average person only dreams about but they have the gall to say we should "only use one square of toliet paper" or "not eat tangerines" or "should take public transportation, walk, or ride bicycles". Would the message seem a lot more meaningful if the person saying it was actually living the way they expect us to live such as an Amish or Mennonite person?

Two backyards away from mine, there used to be a nest in one of the trees. We noticed this bird nose diving our dogs for over a month now and called the conservation office to inquire. They told us that as soon as the fledgings were able to fly and take care of themselves, the bird would stop its aggressive behavior. Yesterday we saw it attack yet another crow and this time it repeatedly attacked it on a fence in front of my house, no where near the nest. We're not sure if the crow was fatally wounded or not. This bird is no bigger than a blue jay, but all gray except for white markings at the edge of the wings almost scalloped-like. He has actually pecked at my black lab's tail and made contact. And he has done the same thing with the smaller dogs in the neighborhood. He has attacked squirrels and the list keeps going on. We now have to sit with a water hose when we're in the backyard to prevent him from attacking our 2 rather large dogs. Concrete suggestions welcome.

Considering that there has never been a reported overdose of marijuana; that numerous medical studies have shown it has a wide range of beneficial attributes with regards to AIDS & cancer patients, delaying the onset of Alzheimers plus others; that it is less addictive than cigarettes or alcohol and has no qualities of physical addiction, isn't it time to just get over it?

It's not a gateway drug...that would be alcohol or cigarettes, which anyone who's ever smoked marijuana will tell you they used long before they ever tried weed.

Any effects it does have are no more severe than alcohol, though alcohol is arguably far more dangerous. It does not have as many carcinogens as cancer and recent studies suggest THC may act as a cancer inhibitor. In fact, the evidence is inconclusive that marijuana smoking alone results in lung cancer or head and neck cancers.

Here is a contradiction in the Bible no one has ever been able to give a decent explanation of. In the book of Genesis 1, it says GOD created (in this order) the sky, earth, light, water, plants sun, moon, stars, fish, animals, and lastly man.
In Genesis 2, it says GOD created (in this order) Earth, heavens, Adam (man), plants, animals, and Eve. Many people have told me the Qur'an is from man and not from GOD because of contradictions like this, but the Bible has just as many. I have many others but I will list them one at a time.

I just recently adopted an 8 year old male from a woman who could no longer take care of him. He is very well-behaved. Uses the litterbox every time & isn't scratching anything. The only issue I have with him is that he keeps throwing up. Pretty much on a daily basis. I woke up this morning to him "heaving" and BAM, all over the beige carpet. His owner had him on Purina Sensitive Systems. However, when he first came, our store did not have that brand so I just got him something cheap. I just bought the Purina Sensitive Systems yesterday and fed him, but he was still throwing up this morning. So I'm not sure if that was the issue or not. Pardon the details, but his puke looks like watery brown mush. It does have some hair in it also, but I'm not sure if that is his problem or not. Does anyone have any suggestions that could help him feel a little better? I feel so bad for the little guy, probably both homesick AND sick-sick.
Btw, I have had him for almost a week now.

Ok...there is no REAL statement in the Bible that the Rapture will happen. There are vague suggestions, but nothing that says it will.
I know that an Evangelical Minister in the late 1800's believed that the Rapture would in fact happen. He even tried to predict it...and we know how that turned out. But...the long held belief that it would happen has continued. It is in many Christian teachings.

What I want to know, is that do YOU personally think it will happen, or do you think that it's wishful thinking (lack of a better word), so that Christians won't have to experience the horrible rein of the anti-Christ?

I'm not opening this up for discussion or attacks....just your opinion...and not one that someone else told you to believe....
