If it was something to panick about, I would hope your doc would have told you. Low FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) may indicate you have a low sperm count or there are a couple other syndromes. Do your research and write a list of questions for your next appointment. Your doc is the only one to be able to tell you what this means because there are many other factors (blood tests) involved. As for now, don't fret.

FSH are To evaluate your pituitary function, especially in terms of fertility issues

If it is within norms but low don't worry about it. If it was something to worry about your doctor would have had you come back in. Your next blood work may show it perfectly fine.

It sounds to me like the two certainly one of you have fertility issues. i assumed FSH had to do with a female's ovarian reserve and the conventional # is frequently below 10?? It took eleven months for my husband and that i to conceive and that's with him purely having one million working testicle (he bodily has 2, yet after attempting out, the rfile informed him that the different one isn't producing as lots sperm simply by fact of a scientific difficulty...). have you ever spoken to the physician approximately replace scientific care like IUI? IVF is noticeably high priced, so i do no longer recommend that on the 1st attempt. Please talk the selections which includes your physician. purely he/she truly is familiar with your scientific historic past and could be truthful with you approximately your possibilities of conceiving employing replace approaches.

Ask the doctor.
In a woman it might indicate potential fertility problems.

PS The levels fluctuate, so the next test will show whether there is any need to take any action.

It depends on how low they were. If they're just a little low, then it's probably not a big deal, but if they're extremely low it could be. But, the likelihood is that it's nothing if your doctor isn't telling you to come in sooner. If it were a serious problem that concerned him/her, he/she would have you come in sooner.

It's something you should have asked about while you were there! Are you afraid to open you mouth and ask the people who could tell you and know about these things?
