My roommate and I disagree about how to clean the common areas of our apartment. She believes dirty dishes (MY dishes) can sit in the sink for days on end, that clothes can be piled on our couch, and that the bathroom does not need to be cleaned weekly. Beyond that, I found her boyfriends' used CONDOM on my makeup case in the bathroom. That was the final straw. I decided that for one week, she was in charge of ALL the cleaning, including my messes, and then we would have a chat about compromise. I don't know if this will teach her anything. Am I being unreasonable? Should I just move out? Or should I try to be agreeable and find a happy medium?

Im starting college beginning this fall and am extremely confused. Please help me by answering these questions!

1. Im taking four classes and got the e-mail for three of my teachers. Should I contact them to ask about what books I need/ don't need and which to buy?

2. Some books for classes are optional. Should I buy these books?

3. One class I'm taking is taught by the staff apparently, so I can't contact a specific teacher about what books I need. What should I do?

4. If I buy books online, is it possible for me to sell them back to my college book store?

5. Will dropping a class be recorded on my transcript? Will this have a negative consequence?

6. College is soo confusing! Will I ever get used to buying text books, picking classes, studying, etc??

I am getting married in late September and want to know how and when you wear the bridal veil. I know you wear one piece over your face and the other piece behind your head when walking down the isle. Then when you're pronounced married, the groom lifts it up from your face and pushes it back over the back of your head. But is the veil worn during the reception at the back of your head?

I've been summoned to pay a debt in my name, but in my divorce settlement, it states that my ex-husband is responsible to pay it. It was a home improvement expense, the home was left to him, and he has sold it since our divorce, but did not pay the debt. I need advice on how to approach this. most often to win a popularity contest even though you hardly know them?

A big YUCK on popularity contests. It's nice to see one's name, don't get me wrong, and I have seen mine pop up a few times, but that doesn't make me feel any less annoyed- there's an almost elitist feel to the questions as well as the same old answers. I cannot help but wonder how well you know the person you think is the nicest or most impressive. I can see singling someone out for their birthday (I always do it) or for some other special reason, but to make lists of "Who's the most this?" or "Who's the most that?" is where I believe a line should be drawn. I just see this sort of thing the way I saw it in junior high - people get hurt too easily, someone always comes out on top and someone else is always made to feel like the pariah.

What say youse?

I am a victim of childhood sexual abuse and battery. I am trying really really hard to stay positive! But I have alot of suppressed rage! I did attend church but my anger has caused me to make a fool out of myself over and over again! Church does help! But I feel guilty about bringing my problems to them. I almost hit a guy at a department store because the line was crowded. You couldn't tell where it began and where it ended. He was very rude to me. I LITERALLY SNAPPED! I was so so close to getting violent. Sometimes I'm afraid of myslef! When I was in the military I fractured my right hand all the way up my wrist from a boxer's fracture. I was discharged do to my potential of being violent. My discharge was general under honorable. When I was just a child I beat up a kid 3 times my size. I was only a teenager and he was a senior in high school. I'm not proud of this! I really need help! I fell guilty about sharing my problems with others.

I have an old laptop that doesnt have a cd drive. I want to upgrade from 98 to 98SE or 2K so I can use my wireless cardbus. Is it possible to install from a floppy? Does 98SE fit on a floppy? What about just upgrading from a floppy?

This guy is my work colleage, and I don't know him for too long, we have been hanging out a bit lately. he is busy writing his thesis for the school, and I have asked him if he wants to play table tennis together over the msn, and he said he can't go, still get school thing to be done, and give me a smile face sign. so, I told him I will be going alone with a smile face sign even though I was kidda dissapointed. later on, we never talked again. yesterday I saw him online at work, so, I guess he is still busy for his school thing, but I am hesitating if I should make the move to ask him if he is all right lately. Do I look that I dont care at all? since I have been hurt before, I feel something is stopping me from expressing my regards to a guy, what should I do? and what do you think?

When I got my strat i knew the intonation was to sharp. I adjusted the saddles and i got the first three strings (G,B,E) in perfect intonation. The last three strings(E,A,D) on the other hand stayed high. Even after moving the saddle all the way back. :-( what else should i try?
