one night there was a car that hit a power line pole and then went down into a ditch and hit a tree, my sister and some of her friends ran who saw the accident ran out of their car to go help, when my sister got close to the car, the sight of it made her pass out, so 3 of her friends picked her up and to get her back to the car, while they were carrying her, one of the guys slipped and his head hit the power line that was hanging, and all 4 of them got electrocuted, my sister and one of the guys died, the others were severly injured, they didn't get a chance to help the other two victims who were in the car crash. Now there is a guy who says he used to work for the city, and he mentioned that when a power line is hit or somehow interfered, a sensor of some sort is supposed to stop the electric current, so he said none of them should have gotten electrocuted, and he mentioned that my mother has a case against the city, does she have a case?

It is getting better as more and more women begin to take control of their investment decisions, but I would still imagine there is a barrier that exists for women trying to do so. Are there any women out there who have gone through some of these that could offer examples or descriptions of what the experience was like for them? Or any women out there that want to invest but dont because of these underlying barriers that could offer their story?

So my husband admitted to a drunken one night stand and I have forgiven him and we are reconciling and healing our marriage...so sunday I decided that I was ready to try to establish our physical relationship again (if you know what I mean). I thought it was a healing experience and so monday I decided to try again only to be rejected by him because he was tired. So I try to talk to him and let him know that I am hurting that he would reject my advances but not some stranger in a bar. He gets mad and tells me that he only did it sunday to "compromise" with me. He's had low sex drive our entire relationship and I usually have to initiate relations. I guess I thought that this healing process would include a passionate return to sex...I know that's a ridiculous assumption....but what wife (whether cheated on or not) wouldn't be hurt by a comment like that? Am I wrong?

I was looking through an old church bulletin where I saw a picture of Adam & Eve dipicted in the garden of eden. I looked at it and I noticed that they both have belly buttons. I did some research and every picture or statue dipicting them had belly buttons. I looked in an old old Bible, on the internet...and I saw Adam & Eve with belly buttons. Makes you wonder why nobody ever changed the dipictions. Dosen't it make you wonder???????? What a fairy tale we want to still believe in the 21 century!

When do you normally give a babyshower? What if it is a foster parent with a very good chance of adopting? My friend wants a shower but doesnt want to wait for the adoption to be final because it takes so long. Is there a customary timeline for this? I don't know the first thing about giving a babyshower - any suggestions?

A psychiatrist was conducting a group-therapy session with four young mothers and their small children.

He observed, "You all have obsessions."

To the first mother, he said, "You are obsessed with eating. You've even named your child Candy."

He turned to the second mum. "Your obsession is money. Again, it manifests itself in your child's name, Penny."

He turned to the third mum. "Your obsession is alcohol. This is apparent from the fact that you named your child Brandy."

At this point, the fourth mother got up, took her little boy in the hand and whispered, "Come on, D*ck, we're going home."

Emily Dickinson

Because I could not stop for Death—
He kindly stopped for me—
The Carriage held but just Ourselves—
And Immortality.

We slowly drove—He knew no haste
And I had put away
My labor and my leisure too,
For His Civility—

We passed the School, where Children strove
At Recess—in the Ring—
We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain—
We passed the Setting Sun—

Or rather—He passed Us—
The Dews drew quivering and chill—
For only Gossamer, my Gown—
My Tippet—only Tulle—

We paused before a House that seemed
A Swelling of the Ground—
The Roof was scarcely visible—
The Cornice—in the Ground—

Since then—'tis Centuries—and yet
Feels shorter than the Day
I first surmised the Horses' Heads
Were toward Eternity—

It's not something you can measure, but it's often discussed. How important is it in baseball - a sport largely defined by the one-on-one battle between pitcher and catcher - compared to more "team" sports like basketball, football or hockey?

Does it matter a great deal in baseball?

I am a lifeguard for a company that owns three swimming pools. Our pool is the best, so the other two pool's lifeguards pranked us last night. They threw all the furniture in the corner and taped it together and wrapped the hose all around the fence. We need something to do back at them. Any help?
