my STB Ex-husband (as stated in an earlier post today) left me for another woman 2 1/2 months ago and she is now pregnant, possibly with his kid. but he has began to call and text me, spilling out all of his feelings, and confiding in me. a month ago all i got from him was "i hate you, i can't stand to even look at you, i wish i never had to see or hear from you again". we have a 2 y/o daughter together, so that's not possible. but i just dont get it ... if he has this other woman (whom he DOES talk about when confiding in me and telling me how torn and depressed he is), then why isn't he crying (literally) to her and telling her all these things? why is he calling and texting ME? he's telling me all this stuff i never thought he would, but stops short when he gets to "there are things i want that i know i can't have" i ask what they are, and he pauses and sayd "i can't tell you". please, GUYS, give me some insight here? why????

Here is the scoop, metro DC, is an expensive area, and I found this CHEAP condo at $75K, 2BR, 1.5BTH, BUT I don't want to work with my own realtor b/c it will cost me, and I just barely have enough for this place as is. Now I would like to negotiate it and have him pay closing cost, because it would cost me about $5K. So how can I go about negotiating the price down? Please help, thanks

I'm 31, married, one kid and one on the way. My dad and I were never close, my parents divorced when I was 2 and I've never lived with my dad. I've always wanted to be close to him and have gone out of my way to spend time with him in the past. I know he loves me, but he's a difficult person to get close to. My dad owned a little beer bar for 10 years and I don't drink but I went there often just to be near him and hope for just 5 minutes of his time. 3 months ago he told me he was tired of the bar business and wanted to sell it. He did ask me not to tell anyone but in my stupid way of thinking, that didn't apply to my mom and I told her. Well, she told someone who told someone and it got back to my dad. He called and literally cussed me out on the phone. Said I betrayed him and he couldn't trust me and generally broke my heart. My mom and I stand to gain nothing from him selling the bar and the only reason he didn't want anyone to know was to avoid a bunch of questions.

Upon going over the US border from Canada, I am aware that you need government issued photo ID, and your birth certificate. But is a visitor's Visas required too? Or are the two ID's enough to gain you entry into the United States?

Just so I am not misunderstanding, the Visas are to allow you to stay & and work within the US for a certain period of time. What if you just plan to visit there for a month, does that still require a visas when traveling there by car?

sometimes i feel depressed. and instead of smoking pot or feeling better without drugs, i sometimes look at others who are in worse positions and states of mind than i am. this makes me feel like, "dang, at least im not like THAT guy". is this way of thinking not good? i think it will limit my potential..

I'm 17 years old, just one year shy of being legally responsible. I used to live in Florida, with my mother and the rest of my family. When I was 10 years old my dad went to Brazil to start a business, and never came back. Last year (2006) I went to live with him for a year. I didnt like it too much so I decided to return to the U.S.A.
So I went back in April of this year, and stayed one month. My father told me to return and gather my things (clothes, belongings, etc) and that I would only stay 2 weeks and be on my way to my new life. Well here I am. I've been here in Brazil for more than 2 months and my father says he wont let me leave untill my 18th birthday. Can he do this?
I read the UN's Child Rights Convention, and Brazil is part of it. But I'm a bit confused. Whether I am young or old, I am still a human being. I should have rights too.
Please help me out.

How can I convince my mom to let me get an AIM SN so I can talk to my friends and crush online. I'm responsible and its not letting I'm planning to be sitting on the computer all day long. I just want it so I can talk to them when I want to without the hassle of the phone. I've showed her the info and everything so its not like I'm hiding anything from her, she's just very protective.
