My friend got food poisoning and i was wondering if its contagious. She had a stomach ache yesterday and now has a fever. She says she didn't vomited and no diarrhea or anything. She has a fever at the moment and says she feels much better after sleeping. I don't know if i should visit her

You're safe to see your friend. Food poisoning can also be disguised as the 48 hour virus, but it's not. You're safe to go around her. She is sick because she ate something bad not because she caught a virus. If her symptoms don't get better by the next day she needs to go to the doctor, because of the fever. Also if she has blood in her stool, she should go immediately because that can be a sign of worse problems. She may not vomit or have diarrhea, which explains the stomach cramping. If she's not vomiting or has runny stools then the poisoning is not severe. She was poisoned by the food, so its impossible for you to catch.

No food poisoning is not contagious as the person affected had to eat some thing that was off and once the body gets rid of the infection they recover with out problem
So go visit and you will be OK

Fortunately, food poisoning is not contagious. But, if you ate the same meal/food as the person that became ill from spoiled food then, you would also get food poisoning. I hope that this helped.

No it is not contagious and if she didn't have the vomiting or diarrhea she most likely didn't have food poisoning unless a doc tested her and diagnosed it. Food poisoning makes you deathly ill and you wish you did die some times.

No, it is not. It is because your friend ate something wrong. If she is having fever check for gastro enteritis. She may feel nausea and vomiting, but need not do so. Go to a good doctor and get checked.
Please keep me informed of her condition. There are some good remedies for diarrhoea, dysentery and gastroenteritis.
