Nearly any time I see a dead insect it's on it's back with it's feet sticking up. Like a potato bug. How and why do they end up like that?

The IRS sent out a notice for income tax return for my father two years after he passed away. The name on the notice was
Deceased ( First Last Name)

The letter does not allow the notification that the respondent is dead. The Spouse, yes. It insists that he respond to the notice. I would like him to respond also. I miss him. But is the IRS that dense that Deceased does not mean dead? They even replaced part of his name with Deceased. We have previous years that the IRS has already stated that they acknowledge he has passed away. The government sent out military recall notices to KIA. I guess the IRS thinks they have higher powers than GOD and can force people to report to them.

obviously everyone knows hes a great player with a lot of talent but he is just atrocious durin these summer league games. while it can be true that he's just not ready for the nba, something still tells me that this may be a calculated move on china's part to not have yi in mil. anyone else get that impression?

science doesn't claim to know all the answers, it is a work in progress.

science finds the most likely cause and then tries to prove or disprove by stringent testing. revise retest and the most likely version that can be found to the best of our knowledge given as a theory.

christainity doen't even come close to this, it would fail at the first stage.

i'm looking to install solar for helpwith my utilities. an 6.6kw system for 4400.00 which they say will do aprox 67% of my bill or a 9kw that will do aprox 78% for 5500.00. i live in ca. that includes the rebates. can they be bargaind with? it seams a little high. thanks n lj

I've been reading a lot of questions on here, and I have found a somewhat aggravating trend....whenever someone talks about a democrat, the first thing a lot of conservatives is call them a socialist.

What is wrong with helping people out? And the cold war is over...so why do I feel like we still live during the red scare?

I just don't understand. If you look at countries who are mildly socialist (such as, dare I say it, France) ...citizens there are generally a lot happier then Americans. Why do we fear change here?

We are Jesus's children. But Mary was his Mother, who is also a child of Jesus and God. God and Jesus are our fathers. Would that make God and Jesus a gay son and father couple who had children together? But then God pregnated his child into one of their children that they created together. for having an idea....
a black hole has a surface which must not necessarily be the same as the diameter of its event horizon.
This is (as far as i know) depending on the BH size and should make it possible for certain types of BH to have some Space between EH and surface.

So ok we can't observe the surface...
what will happen if this surface get heated up, lets say by infalling matter in hughe ammounts (neutron star or bigger).
Is it heating up ? will it do so ?
or not ?
and if so CAN it heat up endlessly ?

Four men got together to play golf one sunny morning. As they were heading out to the course, one of them was detained by a phone call.

The other three were discussing their children while walking to the first tee.

"My son," said one proudly, "has made quite a name for himself in the home building industry. He began as a carpenter, but now owns his own design and construction firm. He's so successful, in fact in the last year he was able to give a good friend a brand new home as a gift."

The second man, not to be outdone, boasts how his son began his career as a car salesman, but now owns a multi-line dealership. "He's so successful, in fact, in the last six months he gave a friend two brand new cars as a gift."

The third man brags that his son has worked his way up through a stock brokerage firm, and has become so successful that in the last few weeks has given a good friend a large stock portfolio as a gift.

As the fourth man arrives at the tee box, the three smugly tell him that they have been discussing how successful their progeny are, and ask what line of work his son is in.

"To tell the truth, I'm not very pleased how my son has turned out," he replies. "For fifteen years, he's been a hairdresser, and I've just recently discovered he's gay."

As the other three recoil in horror, he continues, "but on the bright side, he must be good at what he does, because his last three boyfriends have given him a brand new house, two new cars, and a big stock portfolio."
