I own a '98 Grand Voyager. Last night I got caught in a heavy storm and hit a flooded section on the only route I can take home. When that happened, the power steering stopped working, the engine started to overheat, and the battery "idiot light" went on. The engine did cool down by the time I got home and this morning the battery light turned back off, but the engine doesn't idle quite right and the power steering is still shot. My husband thinks it's just a fuse but I think it's more serious and I refuse to drive the van until I know. Can anyone help?

We are taking a short holiday to Canada in a couple of weeks(we live in Ohio). I have a 12 year old step son. We get him regularly. I know we need our birth certificates to leave ( I know passports next year), but do we need anything notorized from his mother letting us take him across the boarder. I know we don't need her permission to leave the state, we just have to provide her the information on where we will be and a way to reach us, but do we need her permission to leave the country? She went to Canada a few years ago and didn't get my husband's OK, but she does have primary custody. I wasn't sure if that mattered or not.
Thanks

I am dabling in a business called Primerica, but I think the one thing stopping me from really going for it and really starting to make some money is the fact that I would be the money earner of the household...(getting married saturday and he only makes in the 30,000/yr area with commission...I make 21,000/yr right now). With Primerica our income could be endless...he wants me to get going and get him excited withthe money we make before he does anything with this.

My problem is I have always had the mindset that the wife gets to stay home and take care of the kids...which I can do once I make the big money. Please help me to get my mind on track so I can go get 'em and not feel cheated about having to make the money in the household.

Please dont be rude about this...be kind but firm.

Ok im 16 years old and am going into my senior year at highschool. I will turn 17 in my senior year, my birthday is october 1st. Now i really want to become a police officer, my grandfather was a police officer, alot of my family is military, and I think joining the police force would be good. Whats the age to join? Can you be 18? Do you need to go to college? Then apply? I mean I can do that if needed. Do i need to get a degree in Criminal Justice? What exactly does that do with becoming a police officer? Where would I need to go? I'd like to be a patrol officer. Driving around, patrolling.

So whats the age? is 18 good? What should I do that would best benefit me into becoming a police officer? What degrees? or anything

Thanks.

So, I took Tae Kwon Do in elementary school, but really only 'cause my friend did - I don't think I ever even took a belt test. I also rode horses, which I liked, and did gymnastics, which I hated. (Too much falling off of crap all the time.)

But, now I'm old (well, 21, but I feel old) and in crappy shape - plus, I'm bored and need a hobby. Since I live in the city now, horseback riding is a little out of the question, so I came to the idea of trying martial arts again.

Through 'net research and visiting area schools, I'm basically down to deciding between akido and shotokan karate. I'm more or less academically aware of the differences between the two - I'm mostly just looking for something to improve my physical condition. The spiritual principles in akido interest me, but not enough for that to make the decision for me.

Really, I'm worried about being an out-of-shape female beginner who isn't a little kid, since I already have crap for self-esteem. So.. What say you?

BEIJING, July 10 — China executed its former top food and drug regulator on Tuesday for taking bribes to approve untested medicine, as the Beijing leadership scrambled to show that it was serious about improving the safety of Chinese products.
.....
But Mr. Zheng’s case appears to have served a political purpose, allowing senior leaders to show that they have begun confronting the country’s poor product-safety record. Shoddy or dangerous goods, including drugs, pet food and car tires, have damaged its reputation abroad, especially in the United States.

I started my bible study again, and I decided to start from the very begining, so I hope that you all can answer some questions for me.

The first question is more about what your specific religion/denomonation believes, so please tell me what you are when answering.
1. In the bible we see two counts of creation, the priestly tale and the story commonly referred to as J. Just a refresher for everyone, the priestly tale speaks of God creating the Heavens and Earth, then the animals in the sea, then the animals on land and then finally creating humankind (both male and female at once). In J we get God creating Man first, then the animals and then Woman out of Man's rib.
My question is which story was taught to you? Was it one or the other or a combination of both? Were the inconsistencies talked about and how are they reconciled?

This is not a loaded question, I am really seeking answers, I don't need to read about how the bible is a lie or God does not exist.
