A friend had recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. It is in a position which makes it impossible to remove by surgery.
Also it is on the outside of his lung. They have taken a biopsy to find out what type of cancer it is, but we will not find out the results for a while.
Can you survive lung cancer? What is the likelihood of treatment working? Has anyone heard of this type of lung cancer (on the outside) or has anyone you know suffered from it?
Any advice?

I noticed that many Lebanese hate Syrians now. Why don't they distinguish between Syrian government and Syrian people? Syria is a dictatorship. Many people don't support Assad. It's a really immature act. I'm ashamed of some Lebanese.

OK I did a stupid thing and left the lights on on Friday night (the last time I rode the bike). I did not realize it till this morning when it was TOTALLY dead. I have a battery charger, but I am completely lost as to how to get to the battery. How do i get to the termonals to charge the battery? I have the side cover off, do I actually have to take the thing apart and pull the battery out?

My 14 year old cousin really likes to read, which is great. The problem is, her genre choice is Christian teen fiction, which sounds like a load of crap. Its great that she's learning values that she feels are important, but it seems like her reading is exclusive to this genre. She also reads Harry Potter, so thankfully has heard some good stories, but this still leaves the problem of being unexposed to good writing, if that makes sense. She is a very smart girl, in all advanced classes, so can anyone reccomend a book that will be entertaining like HP, but perhaps better written. Something that is engrossing but presents more of a challenge for her, I guess is what I am looking for. She is about to start reading Eragon, which is in my opinion one of the worst books ever written. I'd really like to be able to reccommend something better for her to read. Obviously, it needs to be relativley "clean". Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, but I'm really busy right now. :)

Some of my friends think I'm so weak that I can't do S*** to them. I excersise but I never show my strength, so that leaves room for people to underestimate. They seem to get all worked up when they find out they were wrong. Why do they talk s*** like that and can't understand me.

In the past, the Democratic and Republican conventions actually chose the candidates for each party. People rejected the "smoke-filled back room deals" which chose candidates for most of our history. By choosing nominees through primaries, it was thought they would open the process to a more democratic ideal.

What it really did, however, was concretize the fringes of each party, giving veto power over nominees to the religous right for the Republicans, and radical/socialists for the Democrats. Since these blocks mobilize large numbers of voters for the primaries, they can choose their candidates, or effectively block candidates who don't follow their line on issues like abortion, gun control, etc.

This has hurt the Dems much more than the Repubs, and explains why weak-kneed candidates from Humphrey to Kerry have met with resounding defeat. Is it time to change?

I happend to have the problem where my big toe isnt the longest one, the toe next to my big toe is longer than my big toe. and it looks HORRIBLE and there is nothing that i can do about it i wear flipflops allday and other foot showing shoes but my feet just dont look good in the peep toe shoes which sucks cuz thats the only kind of cute heel that they sale nowadays...i was just wondering if anyone else hated peeptoe shoe for anyother reason...or am i the only one??
