I noticed that many Lebanese hate Syrians now. Why don't they distinguish between Syrian government and Syrian people? Syria is a dictatorship. Many people don't support Assad. It's a really immature act. I'm ashamed of some Lebanese.

I believe that lebanese are totally not racist about this subject. although if they can become racist no one should ask them why.
In the last 15 years, many lebanese have been tortured and killed and all the syrians say is that they are not in control. Then why dont they do something, why dont they riot.
On the contrary they fill applications to belong to the ruling party.
They just want to take the privileges of being with the party and not take the blame.
Finally when the syrians where in lebanon syrian workers whether mokhabarat or not where benefiting from the domination. They had a higher rank than lebanese citizens in our country.
Well at the end i dont hate and i have never abused anyone.

The nation is divided on the Syrian issue.
Personally, I don't hate neither Syrians nor anyone for matter of fact, there are better things to do in life than to waste time with hatred...
during thirty years of occupation, Syrians hurt Lebanon and the Lebanese A LOT directly and indirectly,
eventhough some Syrians might not know that their government hurt Lebanon and might think that some Lebanese are ungrateful for "all what Syria has done!"

You are right, it is not the same the syrian government (dictatorship) than syrian population.
I cant talk by all the lebanese pple, but I think that lebanese dont hate "syrians". Lebanese pple hate the situation generated by the syrian occupation in Lebanon.
Everydays thousands and thousands of syrians cross the border to work in Lebanon, when is well known that thousands of lebaneses havent a good job.
Many of them work in Lebanon........many brings what they produce to sell in Lebanon, and another ones smuggle arms.
Many dont respect the country, and act as if they still have rights inside it.
I agree with you, that Assad is a bad person, not only for Lebanon, but for the syrians that dont agree with him.
Lebanese pple dont hate syrian pple, but Syria has to learn that Lebanon is a sovereign country.

Syrians dont even try to bring down their dictatorship, they are sitting their like slaves doing nothing. They want to gain lebanon's money and prosperity.
all those years syria was in lebanon, it was living the high life, corrupting our land by bribing and taking our money, syrian workers will die of hunger if lebanon didnt take them in to work for us. The syrian people don't want to see lebanon live a good life, they are all so jealous of our achievements and our support from the world. They don't care about their government, they dont want assad out, or else they would have tried something, just like we the lebanese did something to take out the bloodthristy syrian regime, they too should try.
I dont think syrians are a race dear, syria can't be distinguished because the people have disappeared into its own government
Anyways, the arab peoples cannot live unless they are under a dictatorship, when america took saddam out chaos and destruction came out, same with syria. They dont deserve democracy, because under a democracy there is eradication and mayhem, a dictatorship is the true solution to the middle eastern problem.

you are absolutely correct. Lebanese hating Syrians is like Americans hating Iraqis under Saddam's rule, or Americans hating North Koreans because of the North Korean government. It should not be that way, HATE BREEDS HATE, and i can't stress that enough. When a syrian worker, who is building lebanon, is attacked and killed merely because he is Syrian will create animosity and hate for Lebanese from that worker's family, only to let the real culprits get away, that being the Syrian government. When we instill tolerance and non-discriminatory behaviors towards others will they do the same towards us!!!

People tend to think that Muslims are all Middle Easterners and that all Middle Easterners are Muslim when that's not true. Muslims can be of any race or ethnic background. It doesn't make you racist but it sure does make you prejudiced. "Retarded" is ad hominem, it's not really a good reason to hate a person or faith. "Backward" is opinion-based. What makes Islam backward? Is it the exaggerated stories of the few extremists you hear in the media that caused you to take on that opinion? I am a Muslim and I don't believe I am ignorant, I am open-minded and educated. And I never threaten "non-believers", most of my friends are atheist. Maybe it's best you actually educate yourself on Islam and talk to a few Muslims before taking media propaganda as basis for hatred.

as for the Syrian workers (if that is who you mean), they are actually mokhabarat (most of them) and they report everything to their government about the smallest things that happens here...they are spies

I don't see a reason for not to hate them..they all worship their president and hosbolla...
Just last week in my campus this syrian girl attacked a Lebanese girl coz she had Mr. Hariri's pic on her copybook...so plz don't expect me to love her...
Just great!they eat and sleep in our country and keep attacking us from all sides...and we are suppose to love them and respect them..ye right! In your dreams...
