Question #3 of questions asked to Christians:
My reference is the Bible Answer Book
Bible says: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 So what is this verse really saying?
Sin is not just murder, rape, or robbery. Sin is failing to do things we should doing those things that we should not. in short, sin is a word that describes anything that fails to meet God's standard pf perfection. Thus, sin is the barrier between you and a satisfying relationship with God. just as light and dark cannot exist together, neither can God and sin.
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. 1 John 3: 4-6

Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

that part of the bible you quoted was written in Koinia Greek, which was the latter ancient version, Anyway the word, translated as sin from the greek text is Harmatia which means to miss the mark, or target, like in archery. Now why everyone, without qualification can and is found guilty of falling short, is because the Bullseye isn't a standard of behavoir or what, it is that no one can be god but god, so everyone fails, everyone is guilty of not being perfect like god. Except, and this is the crux of the christian faith, Jesus Christ, whom god has declared to be acceptably like God, and his son as well. It continues into further complexity but that is the real gist of what is sin, really. So even if you do good, like Mother Theresa, or whatnot, you still are found to be sinful, because even mother Theresa would tell you, no one is perfect.

Romans 3:23 means that Everyone was born into sin, and that Everyone wants to sin more than they want to do good. When Adam and Eve Took from tree of the "knowledge of good and evil" which god told them not to eat of they in fact were sinning at that point. That how sin entered the world. So every one that is born is born with a tendency to sin. That is the facks about sin

To me Sin is doing something that betrays ones own conscious. Conscience is our biggest judge, it punishes us well. It sets us free as well. And what is considered wrong by our own conscience is a sin. Our inner judge doesn't let us get away with what is done wrong. It can be whatever. None can define what exactly the Sin IS.
There are various things which set us apart from God(according to religious descriptions) but that's not always Sin! Sometimes lying ain't a sin..sometimes speaking the truth seems a biggest sin; but , according to the situation.

Sin is...just about everything a human does, thinks, says, or feels. Technically, we should all be so consumed with guilt and shame that we want to commit suicide....but that's a sin, too.
If you want to live a life as free of sin as possible (to live a life COMPLETELY free of sin is totally impossible) then you should probably live a life of grim solemnity and pretty much seclude yourself from the world and human experience as a whole. Make sure to try very hard not to smile, have fun, or do anything that makes you happy as a human being.
Sorry for the sarcasm, but man...

Sin isn't just a Sin because it is offensive to God, it is Sin because it is harmful to us. Also, misplacing your beliefs is harmful. Fearing other people or situations when you shouldn't or don't need to, instead of putting your full trust in God is very harmful. Anything that does not come from trust and faith (in God) is sin. It is harmful, because what you trust in and believe in the most, even if it is what you fear/dread, will likely control or at least strongly influence your actions.
When a person learns this, they can more easily put their trust in God 100% and begin to practice righteousness, consistantly.

A sin is anything that goes against the word ( law ) of god . ( a bad thought ,swearing , disobedience , lust , rape , murder ,the love of money , etc...) We all sin every day , nobody can be perfect .There must be a payment for our Many sins .That is why God came to earth in the flesh ( Jesus ) to suffer greatly ,shed his innocent and perfect blood , and die on the cross for the believers sins.

Do you want me to just repeat what you said? So much detail! Nope. Decided not to. Sinning is what humans do for as long as they are alive. They 'miss the mark'. I would say that it is still possible for them to subject their will to the Way of Jesus even if they don't worship Jesus. Many out there already are and don't know it. Others say that they stand for Jesus but don't show any sort of love or compassion in their daily life when they're not at church. It's the 'trying' that matters.

a great style of sins are exciting because of the fact, properly, they are able to be exciting. so a techniques as why they seem to be a sin... perchance it is consequences of specific varieties of exciting that lead them to a sin. i don't think of that's the exciting components in themselves that are incorrect. that is that maximum of them, in case you do them, carry consequences you in trouble-free terms do not think of approximately on the time of committing them. That, or they create consequences we'd want to have self belief won't touch us if we a approach or the different use uncomplicated experience on an identical time as we sin (including somebody who says they are able to drink with out it being risky as long as they don't get inebriated). perchance interior the top they are sins because of the fact the undesirable in basic terms outweighs despite sturdy (or despite the fact that plenty exciting) you get from them... and perchance, because of the fact we are in trouble-free terms human, we in basic terms have a confusing time accepting that. we desire to have self belief that if we use our uncomplicated experience above each and every little thing else, we are able to't be touched by using the undesirable consequences. as properly, maximum sins ought to have something sturdy approximately them in the event that they are to be committed. If there have been actually no advantages to sinning none human beings could sin, and there could be no want for sins to be talked approximately to us. Even the worst of sins could be justified by using the concepts of the guy who commits them. For some the justification is they are exciting. For others, there are in all probability different motives they arise with to justify why they do them.

The Bible lists out what is sin, but its way more than that. SIn is anything that is not of God , of what He says to us to do or not do, or that could lead to that. ITs a sin just to ignore God, let alone rebel against Him. Its a sin not to obey God. Sin is anything that runs contrary to Gods precious Holy Word
and whoever abides in Jesus will not sin, because of the annointing power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. This leads to overcoming of sin, by abiding in JESUS OBEYING>>>>
GOd says ifyou love me, OBEY ME> that simple. anything that coudl possible, even a teeeeny bit, seperate you from God and His will for your life, is absolute sin and must be given up, repented of, and then having a life of no sin with Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered so we didnt have to, and when He died, He bought back the right for us to have His power to overcome all sin. WE have authroity in JEsus and ppl need to know this. This is Kingdom of God living. amen
Study and KNOW the truth for yourselves ppl. Dont take a risk on any of it, GOing to hell is a terrible price to pay for ignorance. and God wont ignore ignorance. ITs up to us all to learn and know.
