yea paris hilton and janis joplin,back street boys and metallica,ricky martin and tom waits are in same category..thts the biggest insult to real music and real music lovers.what are they thinking?

I was thinking about this again earlier. Rap and Hip Hop are in one section but they are more similar than Rock and Pop. Surely? Or am I wrong. Seriously.
I'm sure rock music has a much broader style than any other type of music and it seems to be most popular amoung true music fans. Most rock fans are die hard. It should be in a seperate category all together.

the biggest insult to real music and real music lovers is that people like paris hilton,mylie cyrus, hilary duff, britney spears were ever allowed to create an album in the first place. And the Rap is actually considered a form of music, it should be in the "expression" section and called EB "expression and beat" or "extremely bad", but not music.

Most people think, Music is Music..it doesnt matter, its all about good music. I kinda think that too...but!
To put great Legends like Janis and Tom Waits, with the cheesy Backstreet boys????????
And what about Metallica?
The so-called godfathers of Thrash-Metal?
Well...today, Metallica sounds like crap..oops
In my opinion, you cant put all these artists in a same row!
Thats a shame to all true Music-lovers!

I agree with you 100%. What would be extremely horrible to see is when they start doing crossover albums. Like Metallia featuring Ricky Martin. Paris Hilton and Skynard. Etc....

Absolutely an insult! Placing real bands like Kamelot, Dream Theater, Rush, Nightwish, etc in the same category as Jessica Simpson and Justin Timberlake is not just wrong, it borders on criminal.

it's idiotic is what it is. what really ticks me off is they stick metal in there too! I've always said you can judge a music store by the way they categorize their music. that's why i like the independent music stores because they break it down into rock, pop, metal, blues, country, jazz, bluegrass, easy listening, rap, r&b, punk, ska. some even have separate soundtrack categories....try finding that in a chain store
