If your answer is anything like "I don't hate anything about the bible because it is God's word and I love him and he loves me and we're a happy Barney family" PLEASE save it for someone else because I really don't care. If you cannot answer the question, just don't answer it. I'm only interested in seeing what people hate about the bible.

1. People take everything in the Bible completely literally. Uh, hello, it might have been MADE UP? Like the rainbow, for instance - that is one of many myths about how they are made. Rainbows have probably been around since the beginning of time because they are caused by light and water. NEXT!

2. It is sexist. Take Eve and Delilah for example, and the woman who kissed Jesus feet. It makes it sound like women are lower than men.

3. There are many mysteries. IE, who in the h3ll did Cain marry, an antelope?? Did he inbreed with his mom? Gross....

4. Die hard Christians claim they hate Satan. I find it kind of sad to hate something that doesn't exist. Satan is just a mythical representation of the evil of humanity.

5. If the Bible is based on historical fact, it has been tainted by mistranslation, miscommunication, etc. And I also found out reading The Complete Idiot's Guide to Bible Archeology that many passages of the Bible have been deleted. Hmmm...something seems fishy about that.

6. People blindly follow the Bible without questioning it. They just "know" it's the truth. For some reason that just bothers me.

7. I believe that a real preacher should read up on all religions, not just the Bible. I hate it when Christians think they know everything about religion when they have not done their homeword.

8. Very very few people have actually read the whole Bible or read it on a regular basis. It is not terribly common anymore to attend church.

9. Who would be more likely to go to hell - a Pagan who helps out others, or a Christian who puts people down or whatever? If I was god I would definately accept person A, not person B. Criminals and bullies to not deserve automatic forgiveness.

10. God is supposedly so Holy and above humanity, yet he shows a lot of human emotions and behaviors. How many times did he lose his temper in the Bible?

Thank u for asking this question, I needed a chance to rant!

I hate that Adam & Eve ate the apple;
I hate that there is evil in the world;
I hate what the Bible says about money;
I hate that God has allowed satan to have so much control over the earth;
I hate that God doesn't protect His people better;
I hate that Bibles are so expensive;
I hate that most Bibles do not explain what the scriptures mean, causing many people misinterpret it.
I can't think of any more reasons than those 7.

1. That it takes so long to get through.
2. That people find so much fault with it without even reading it.
3. That it is not illustrated.
4. That it limits or rather delays my fun since I believe and obey it.
5. That it is sometimes hard to understand and so people give up on their faith because they don't comprehend with their hearts AND minds.
6. Paul never said what was REALLY bugging him.
7. The pages are too easily rippable by my precocious little baby girl in church.
8. People use it to justify division, hatred and godlessness.
9. It seems contrary to any formal logic or reason.

I really try not to hate, especially God's Word but I will answer. I do not like that people misuse the information in The Holy Bible. I don't like that some people think it preaches hate and use it to justify their hate. I don't like that I have doubts about some things in it. I don't like the wars and killings. I don't like that people have added to it. I don't like parables and wish some of it was just more straightforward. I do not like all the "begots". The last thing I will say though is these are my problems and problems of other people, but not God's.

God Bless.

wow i have a pretty good answer for u actually..my answer is from a similar question that was proposed, so some of it might not make sense. Enjoy :)

OMG..don't you all see that having so many different versions of the Bible indicates a corrupt religion? Many authors, editors, revisors, etc. of the Bible only changed/deleted/added verses to appeal to Christians so they would remain faithful (in other words through lies) and to appeal to people who are interested in converting (the same way). Converting through lies and putting in what people WANT to hear is corrupt. For all we know, the all-loving peaceful Bible could have had some ugly verses that were deleted or replaced with more peaceful ones so that Christianity could not look like a culprit or evil religion in the future. CORRUPTION!

An imperfect, flawed religion indicates that it is disqualified as being the true religion.

When you said, "I think people are seeing the question they want to asnwer, not asnwering what has been asked..."

Well, thats kind of like the Christians changing the Bible into what they want their religion to be like (aka allowing more freedoms, making bad deeds seem less impactful, etc.), not seeking the truth or caring about what is really meant for them.

There is nothing to hate about it, if you see it for what it is- just another myth tradition. But when someone asserts that it's infallible and inerrant you have to point out all the glaring inconsistencies and the pure brutality of the Old Testament laws.

What I do 'hate' (if thats the word) is when people use it to justify their irrational beliefs.

The bible itself I don't hate. There is a lot of it I wish I understood better. The only thing I hate is when it is used by people to justify hating others. To me that is a total misrepresentation of my understanding of the bible.
