I was watching a show on the Discovery channel where they say that such an experiment occured in California in the 1900's i think. However the baby was killed after its birth because it seemed inhumane. So obviously it is very possible for us to do this today, so what would the child be like. How would it look and how smart would it be? I'm just curious.

The news was filled this week with stories about the recent death of Hy Zaret, the composer of "Unchained Melody." But few mentioned the origin of the song, which explains the lyrics.

10 points for the first, best anwer.

And someone refresh my memory: As it originally was used, did it actually have lyrics? Or were they added after the melody became popular?

I woke early the other morning & went for a walk through the fields. I sat in a tree & wished I had someone wise, deep & intuitive with me, just so I could sit & listen.
Is that you?
What would you teach me if you were there with me?

My ex.fiancee and biological father of my 5 yr old daughter were together 3.5 yrs.We broke up because he omitted the fact that he had spent time in Russian prison and thus lied about how he got his odd assortment of tatoos. He then proceeded to tell me it did not matter or should not to me since it had nothing to do with me for how long or what crime he commited to get in prison. He is a Russian business man who works in banking ect. so he travels a lot and i assume he is completley legitimate. From what i know he never commited any crimes while i new him.He always treated me well and with respect though he is a bit cold at times. He has never met his daughter but seen photos also he has sent presents and money for her.My daughter in return sends her artwork to him.Am i beeing prejudice for beeing uneasy about seeing him again since he will be meeting our daughter? He also wants to discuss trying a relationship with me again?

Jesus was a wino in the bible, and some people say "It's not Christian to drink alchohol!"

well from what I recall in the new testament either paul or James said that drunkenness is a nono. So it's alright to drink a little bit occasionally but not to the point of getting drunk?

I have heard figures around 2.2 million American persons currently in prison in this country and wondered if the numbers went up because of children that were born in the 1970s. I heard in 1972 that the number of people in prison was 150,000 or 300,000 and that now in 2007 it is 2.2 million. But I wonder if the majority or a substantial number of people currently in prison were children born in the 1970s. I say that because I can remember being in high school and middle school in the 1980s and how some the kids (all of them 70s born) had behaviour problems with other students, teachers and parents. I can also remember some of the fights and arguments and scuffles these 70s children had with one another and wondered how are they going to cope in the outside world. Does anyone have a clue?

My hubby is not affectionate with me unless he wants to have sex. Sometimes I just want a sweet kiss or a neck rub! But alas, it's like he butters up to me so I'll have sex with him and then leaves me alone. He used to be extremely affectionate when we dated. We've been married almost three months. How can I talk to him about this with out him getting ticked or offended?

Everyone I know has zero respect for housewives. They are viewed as lazy and without motivation. The best skills they possess are changing diapers, fixing lunch, and chatting on the phone. If I lived like that I would just commit Hari kari.

I am by all means no christian but from reading the answeres for a few days now I can't help but question the sincerity of the majority of those from people who claim to be athiest. I am not bashing athiesm either, but rather trying to understand them better. From the outside looking in I can't help but wonder if the system is to just answere as briefly as possible to gain enough points to ask more redundant questions. If that is the case then so be it but I am truly currious as to the motivation here and thanks in advance. Beneiplacitum termino carens.[Good pleasure without ends or limits]

Sorry for the inappropriate question, but my human biology teacher (God knows why- I go to an all boy's school) was telling us about it being hygienic for girls to pat themselves after urinating. Er... Is it, and do you?

I'm left handed and when I was looking for a guitar, there were very few in the shop (the only one there was very expensive) and I had to get it from a catalogue. Also there are a lot more right handed guitars which are cheaper than left handed ones. There are also more right handed scissors than left handed ones so WHY DO LEFT HANDED PEOPLE APPEAR TO BE SO RARE

Truman Knew that going from Island to Island would take the lives of many more Americans and made the hard decision to bring a quick end to the war in the pacific .
Germany was bombed into submission and the people knew better then to violate the rules of the occupation if they wanted to live . Hundreds of thousands of troops from Europe and the U.S.A. secured Germany .

SO why is it that we only have a handful of soldiers in Iraq when we need 5 times as many to maintain order .

I am planning to live in the UK for a while still as I am going to university here, but I would like to be able to vote in US elections. I don't think that I would be able to vote in the smaller elections but I know that I can at least vote in the presidential elections.
So how do I register to vote? I think another problem is that my parents don't live in the US anymore, and so I don't really have what might be called a "home" there. Any advice?
Thanks very much.
