Yes, it is a common misconception.
Some people cannot accept the factual truth.
If TheBear is racist, I do not think TheBear would be in this beloved country of ours in the first place.

p.s. No, I just can relate to what TheBear has been saying all this while.
Almost everything TheBear has told us here is what I have been hearing for years in mamak stalls, coffee shops, kenduris, weddings, funerals.
TheBear only ''verifies'' all that I have heard in real life. Things which I would go on denial.......not wanting to accept what was being said and argued about in our country by fellow citizens. Simply because I am a patriot.
Now, I have ''more'' knowledge and I am thankful I walked into this category where I encountered TheBear and several others whom I do not wish to name lest I be stoned (sorry for the repeats but this is the norm).

No Bear, you're no racist. But if you don't believe in Ketuanan Melayu and pray to Badawi 5 times a day you will be called a racist by some Malaysians. Not many though, but those are very vocal.

I haven't ever encountered a more considerate and thoughtful bear than you. So whoever said that you're racist is probably racist themselves! Don't worry about it. ;-)

gee are you? like one of the answerer (don't remember which - i have poor memory with name)..maybe it is because people don't like to hear the truth. they think what they heard from their govt or family or close friends is the only truth so when you said something which is not what they have been told by their so and so... they get jumpy and irritated. don't you find a lot of people don't like the truth...they will argue with you to tell you that they are right? and it hurts to admit another person is right (it can be)
i don't care what people think or say about me (anymore) cos it will waste my time pondering why they don't like me.

I would have to say that you are not racist!!! the only thing I have to say you like to reword to soon so people don't like me can't answer your questions... like in the past few days I go to answer some of your questions and they have been closed to me because i got on my computer to late in the day!!! I don't think this is fair!!!!
