"We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Sahara. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA so massively outnumbers the set of actual people. In the teeth of these stupefying odds, it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here. We privileged few who won the lottery of birth against all odds, how dare we whine at that inevitable return to our prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred?"
~ Richard Dawkins
"Steve Graham points out that you and I are, ourselves, more like a wave than a permanent thing. He invites us, the reader, to think of an experience from your childhood, something you can remember clearly; something you can see, feel, maybe even smell, as if you were really there. After all, you really were there at the time, weren't you? How else would you remember it?
But here is the bombshell...
You weren't there! Not a single atom that is in your body today was there when that event took place. Matter flows from place to place and momentarily comes together to be you. Whatever you are, therefore, you are not the stuff of which you are made.
If that doesn't make the hair stand up on the back of your neck, read it again until it does, because it is important."
~ Richard Dawkins

I've wanted someone like that too, but then I learned something when I did a climb a tree one sunny day. Life is all about going through experiences and learning from them so you become wise. It would be cheating if someone just told you everything that will happen soon. It's better to sit on a tree and reflect on your past and see where you stand now and think to the future.

I will make you sit by my side legs folded in sitting position hands on the knees straight back head held straight, and I will ask you to close eyes as I do. We will sit there quietly and calmly with no words exchanged but feeling the morning fresh air and hearing the birds morning chirruping, feel the sun rise , feel the warmth of the sun rays and feel the freshness running in our veins. After some time I will ask you to open eyes feel the warmth of your hands on your face and eyes. Than we will go our ways with smiles for all the miles that we may cover till the next day.

My question to you is why you didn't ask the tree that you were sitting in to teach and guide you?
Next time you are sitting in a tree, let yourself ask the tree to share with you and let your spirit interpret the response. You will be surprised at what you can learn by being still and silent with a tree.

There is not anyone in the tree that can teach you. You must climb down and experience the world, and therefore learn from everything you do. There is only so much one can learn from watching, it is necessary to interact with life to learn it's lessons.

What a nice question this morning...
Once we climbed the tree, way up high, I would offer you some snacks/drinks I brought for us..
Then I would talk about Gods beauty that is surrounding us, the beautiful meadows, perfection in all the animals, the most beautiful sky, the wind with a whisper of Gods name....
I would talk about salvation and the love God has for all of us...

What is it that you seek...? That then is what I would teach. What is it that you would ask...? That then would I respond.
If I but could then that is what I would.
Else I could not.
Peace, this is the goal, not happiness nor joy nor sorrow nor else, within the Mind, the Observer, be this and Peace is within reach.
Peace...from a Buddhist....
