Today's word of the day made me wonder about Deuteronomy, the third book in the bible.

The word of the day reads, "deuteragonist (doo-tuh-RAG-uh-nist, dyoo-) noun

The second most important part in a play.

Why is the third book in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) called the second (Deutero). Does this mean that Deuteronomy is the second most important book of the bible? If so, what is the *most* important book (of the old testament)? Or is the the second book of the story of Moses?

We just returned from a trip to Boston and we walked the Freedom Trail. On the way we noticed that there were pieces of trash, such as newspapers, that were bronzed on the streets. Does anyone know the story behind this? I could not find anything on the net. Thanks!

hi, im desperate to tan and want to do it naturally instead of using fake tan that go patchy after 3 days(they all do no matter wat any1 says!).im going to spain on sunday and i have fair skin i do tan but it takes ages i burn first and only go a very light golden colour after , i heard going on the sunbed for a few sessions before i go would get me used the uv rays and tan me more on holiday(im aware of the risks/dangers i dont want a lecture) please if any1 knows a solution apart from FAKE TAN please help, thanks a million x

I have a '98 Dodge Neon (Yeah, I know, piece of crap, but give me a break, it is my first car) It doesn't run yet. I am having someone work on it now.

It has been sitting for probably a little over a year and a half. Im sure it has many other problems besides the gas but obviously it has old gas. I have heard that a car will not run or start on old gas. I also heard that the car would start but just run crapy. Im not sure, either way I am going to drain the gas, luckly the car has an electric fuel pump, but I just wanted to know if this is something that can be causeing the car not to start.

This computer has been a complete piece of junk. I do not know if it is vista or the compuer. It will not boot up so I think it is software. What I want to know is there another operating system I can load on it instead of Vista for cheap. I want to try and just wipe it clean and load up from the start. I do not want to spend much more $ on it. I just got it about 5 monts ago for $800 so it was a cheap lab top from the start.

physicists seeking the universal answer to what Einstein sought out his entire life.
Of course, it gets so complicated sometimes that there are probably only a couple hundred guys who can actually understand it good enough to even come close to knowing if its realistic or not.
I've read a lot about it, and it makes sense sometimes, but it seems like it might just be a bunch of theoretical hocus pocus to complicated to prove or debunk.
I think that the real answer to this question will be a lot simpler and mind blowing as Einstein's concepts were when they first came out. Simple and eventually proven. Not completely proven, but two atomic clocks, one still and the other in a jet traveling around the world sounds like good enough proof for me.
Does anyone know of any good references on this subject besides Brian Greene's books?

The Child Custody Protection Act makes it a federal crime to transport a minor across state lines for the purpose of obtaining an abortion. Is a better choice letting the female do it herself or from an untrustworthy source, like someone with no medical experience or a coat hanger? And if all lives are gifts, why is it okay to "kill" some and not others? (in your opinion).

This is not a racist or hateful question. I am curious as to why Muslims would want to live in a country which is not Muslim, alcohol is out of control, sex before marriage is quite normal and where women wear very revealing clothes.
I would not wish to live in a muslim country as it wouldn't suit my needs so why do Muslims come to our country to live?

I don't understand....Yesterday I went to a waterpark, There were two guys, that every time I turned ....always seemed to be there, and would smile....It made me feel uncomfortable, I'd go somewere else....Somehow,they would manage to almost run into me....Even when my husband was there! Hi! I'm thinking about getting a few ghost shrimp for my 55 gallon tank, but really I know nothing about them...

1. Are they benificial to such a large tank?
2. What do they eat?
3. How many should I get for them to prosper?
4. Will my opaline gouramis or Betta girls eat them?
5. Can they withstand high ph? (Last checked, mine's at 8.2)
6. Are there better varieties of shrimp that I should consider instead?

I saw them at the shop last time, and thought about getting them, but didn't since I know nothing about them...
