This is not a racist or hateful question. I am curious as to why Muslims would want to live in a country which is not Muslim, alcohol is out of control, sex before marriage is quite normal and where women wear very revealing clothes.
I would not wish to live in a muslim country as it wouldn't suit my needs so why do Muslims come to our country to live?

Great question,

I think the majority of people here are saying the same thing, that the Muslims want our way of life as it is, in fairness, better than in their home, Muslin orientated, countries. I don't understand how and why they can be so intolerant of other peoples beliefs, or lack of, and take it upon themselves to suicide bomb etc our country because we don’t follow the way of their god. We are not a Muslim country and have never been one, so I too wonder why they chose to move here, some with the sole goal of causing trouble.

We have it OK in England, not great, by no means perfect, but OK... and the only thing spoiling our country is the out of control immigration issue and indeed the Muslim community who don't believe they have to integrate into our culture one bit in order to live here. They live in their own communities and make no effort to try and co-inhabit these here British Isles and for that I feel a massive rage at them. OK, so they're not all terrorists... I will admit that not all Muslims are terrorists, however most terrorists are Muslims, and with the majority of them closing their eyes to the population of England, they are locking themselves away from reality, and thus breeding their own hatred for a country that they have chosen to live in.

They will however live of our benefits, schools, health service etc... oh yes... our evil way of life that they all crave so much... our evil ways that must be stopped, and our airports blown up... oh yes, our evil, evil ways... our only problem is that we're so worried about looking like racists that we don't say how we really feel. And that's scared and trapped by an oppressive race that's taking over. I am not a racist but I hate the majority of Muslims (note, I do not class all people as the same), for what their culture brings and their negative attitude to England, a country I once loved.

Some are born here, others not... but if they hate it so much... move. Simple, no?

I know that if you are poor in Britain life ain't easy.

But what is it like to be poor in say Pakistan.

In the end, the fact of being able to clothe and feed your kids, of your wife having proper care in child birth, maybe buy a car a TV etc etc etc.

And at the same time work a good deal less hard than you have to back home.

If the situation were to be reversed maybe you would consider living in a Muslim country.

After all, plenty of Europeans go to live and work in Saudi Arabia, and may I remind you that Saudi Arabia is considered pretty much the Holy Land by Muslims and women can't drive cars alone or expose their arms etc etc.

And they have their share of extremists, all but one of the 9/11 terrorists were Saudi

So it's financial as simple as that.

I used to sell cars, for a time Mitsubishi's, and we had a regular customer who, once every 2 years would buy a Mitsubishi van. have it converted into a minibus, drive with his whole family to Pakistan, sell the vehicle at a huge profit and have a good holiday.

This was at the time of the fatwah against Salman Rushdie.

He had come to the garage with his daughter and for some reason which I cannot remember I was giving him a lift home, considerably out of my way.

He asked me what I thought of Rushdie and I replied that I didn't rate him much as a writer but that he had the right to write what he wanted.

This guy exploded with rage and was shouting at me, almost incoherently. The gist of it was that we had no right to make fun of Islam. We would not do it to Christianity, would we?
Yes we would I replied citing 'The Life of Brian' He then cursed me and all of us, which means you if you were alive then, to damnation.

He came back though and bought his van.

The point of the story is that he really hated me and us, but the economics of the situation where the deciding factor.

So, economics is why they come, stay live and die here.

The Indians and Pakistanis came in the 1950's-1960's to earn money. They did not bring their families, because they did not intend to stay.
The Govt. panicked in 1962 & passed the Commonwealth Immigration Act, which slammed the door on their comings & goings, and therefore induced them to bring their families & settle down. The Act was very easy to avoid, and the subject was handled clumsily by the Home Office, until further measures were introduced.
Their descendants have grown up in the UK as citizens.
As to other Muslims, other people's answers have been given.

Astonishing, some of the ''answers'' here :P
You guys have painted a picture that all muslims llive off the state, which I don't know if it's true but, I bet a large number are our ''very own'' white lazy people who can't be bothered to work and are f-ing up society. Be honest with yourselves. You are more likely to be mugged or harassed in the streets by a non-muslim, than be hurt by a muslim. Society is scum, and we shouldn't be blaming a whole group of people, who aren't actually a group to be honest! Do you see yourselves as ''one group'' for Christians? So I'm sure all muslims don't feel like they belong to that group. Eugh.

So they can be closer to the "enemy" ! Plain and simple ! They`ll put up with alcohol , sex , and the revealing clothes because of their agenda .......... to murder all non muslims !

The businesses they start here have only one purpose ...... to support the terrorist movement ! They`ve been found out many times in Canada supporting muslim terrorists .

Im afraid of being blown to pieces by another car bomb. These religious extremists are pure evil.

2 percent of the people on UK, the Muslims, uses 58 percent of the resources... and by the way, they avoid paying taxes, they have council house, payments for kids, they live in the hospitals and still nevermind the english, oh...careful, if they see a cross hanging on you neck they may want to kill you with the eyes...

NOT TO THE VEILS IN OUR STREETS, this has to be the first step for them to get out and just the one who really comes to work and respect be able to live and stay, other way they are just bums draining our system away...

I agree with the first guy.

They love our way of life, but feel that they are wrong to enjoy it because of some old book.

They want the benefits of living in a society like the UK, but then claim its sinful - begs the very question you ask doesn't it?

EDIT: Illuminatiness: "You guys have painted a picture that all muslims llive off the state"

When I say benefits I don't mean state handouts, I mean free-market economy and democratic government benefits e.g. emergency services, freedom of speech (haha SLIGHTLY), a vote, shops readily available and accessible to all, cars etc

Some came for the money, some for the security (ironic huh!), some are born here so didn't get a say.

The extremists don;t represent the majority Muslim view.

I stay in England,I come from an prolonged line of Englishmen. i'm no longer a Muslim,in actuality I have not have been given any faith. I actual have in no way met any Muslims that I actual have felt are implementing on my classic way of life. I actual have even if met loads of Christians, who attempt to impose their perspectives and evaluations on me. I agree that persons(of any race or creed) shouldn't circulate right here and then attempt to alter our classic society and customs, yet I actual have in no way met absolutely everyone who has tried to attain this. From what I actual have examine it relatively is often "abode grown do-gooders" who want to alter issues, they seem to think of that it would be in all our hobbies if we alter issues to slot minorities, while relatively new comers are somewhat content cloth to leave issues on my own,it relatively is those "do-gooders" who take it upon themselves to call the Christmas era "winterval" or another stupid call. As i pronounced before I have not have been given any faith, yet i'm somewhat content cloth to pass with the circulate,I deliver Christmas taking part in cards as do many of the Muslims and Jews that i comprehend, that's because of the fact all of us comprehend that it relatively is a Christian united states,we choose for to stay right here and are somewhat happy to settle for the status quo. i comprehend that the media print thoughts approximately "radical" Muslims who want to make England and something of the united kingdom an Islamic state, yet actual those idiots make up an extremely tiny proportion of Muslims right here, they do no longer characterize all Muslims. regardless of each thing Muslims make up around 3% of the inhabitants right here, they comprehend that the opportunities of something human beings all becoming Muslims are impossible.
