If I were Brian Cashman, I would ship him and Kei Igawai for Jason Simontacchii and Dimitri Young from the Nationals. Young will provide some pop in the lineup and give a solid glove at 1st base. Simontacchii will give that much needed help in the bullpen

yes they should but who would want him right now? I don't think the Yankees can get a piece of gum for Giambi's value right now.

He has not been doing well because he has a torn platia in his foot, although he wasnt playing well before that happened either. The problem is is that there will not be a huge market for him mainly because of his recent troubles not only with his health but also with steriods scandel. If they could get anything out of him it would be nice but no one is going to want to take on his salary or his history of recent injuries.

They'll have trouble doing that. First he has a no trade clause in his contract secon he' getting paid a huge sum for stinking up the place. No team in their right mind would want him now.

the yankees can not trade him, he has an iron-clad "no trade" clause in his contract. He would have to agree to any trade before it would even happen.

Yes, to the Mets so he can join Pedro and Beltran. Send Abreu, Clemens, Pettite, Rivera and Damon as well. I'll take David Wright, shift A-Rod to SS and put Jeter on first.

No joke.

They should either trade him or just release him and eat the rest of his salary. When I mean eat, I mean take a penalty for releasing him.

Trade him, shred up his contract free up some $$$$, either thing is sufficient.
