A male coworker of mine (whom I thought to be a good guy and still condsider to be a good guy) were talking (what about I can't recall). His response to something I said about "good guys" was, "There's no such thing".
I've had a female coworker tell me the same thing. Her brothers and husband used to tell her that you can't be nice to a man. But so far I have chosen to stay a romantic buffoon and believe that there is such a thing and that I should continue to wait it out, if you will.
My question is, if there's no such thing as a good guy then why bother being a good girl? Why bother waiting, why just not start having crazy, mad, wild fun? I want to hear from laides and gents alike.

I'm going to be staying with a family member in a different state for a few months to a year. I won't become a resident of that state but I would like to have a checking account there so I can have a debit card on hand. Is that possible? Or is it possible to keep my checking account here and then use my current debit card there? I need a way to deposit checks from working while I'm there and be able to use that money for food, gas, etc...

i bin seeing this girl 4 two weeks. 1st week was gr8, we really hit it off, she asks me to go to lunch with her monday and we did.

bcoz she works saturday morning and i work all day sunday. i said i wud book off my next sunday, so we cud spend time together. I ask co-mates if they cud cover my shift and i would cover there crappy shifts. They agreed. I tx her saying i got sunday off and she says she cant coz she gotta c family.

I was supposed to c her friday at pub with her mates but every1 never went and she went out 4 a meal. Im left doin nothing, coz i turned down my mates to c her. She said she wud go to pub saturday or i wud take her cinema and i wud pay. i turn down my mates again, to c her. i tx her saying wat time we meeting up, she says she goin to cinema with mates instead coz one of their b'days. She never tx me saying this, i had't to tx her.

she has a go at me, coz i said im dissapointed and she say she put friends first and that guys always hurt her. what shud i do??

Europe unites in hatred of French

Language, history, cooking and support for rival football teams still divide Europe. But when everything else fails, one glue binds the continent together: hatred of the French.

Typically, the French refuse to accept what arrogant, overbearing monsters they are.

But now after the publication of a survey of their neighbours' opinions of them at least they no longer have any excuse for not knowing how unpopular they are.

Why the French are the worst company on the planet, a wry take on France by two of its citizens, dredges up all the usual evidence against them. They are crazy drivers, strangers to customer service, obsessed by sex and food and devoid of a sense of humour.

But it doesn't stop there, boasting a breakdown, nation by nation, of what in the French irritates them.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Britons described them as "chauvinists, stubborn, nannied and humourless". However, the French may be more shocked by the views of other nations.

For the Germans, the French are "pretentious, offhand and frivolous". The Dutch describe them as "agitated, talkative and shallow." The Spanish see them as "cold, distant, vain and impolite" and the Portuguese as "preaching". In Italy they comes across as "snobs, arrogant, flesh-loving, righteous and self-obsessed" and the Greeks find them "not very with it, egocentric bons vivants".

Interestingly, the Swedes consider them "disobedient, immoral, disorganised, neo-colonialist and dirty".

But the knockout punch to French pride came in the way the poll was conducted. People were not asked what they hated in the French, just what they thought of them.

"Interviewees were simply asked an open question - what five adjectives sum up the French," said Olivier Clodong, one of the study's two authors and a professor of social and political communication at the Ecole Superieur de Commerce, in Paris. "The answers were overwhelmingly negative."

According to Mr Clodong, the old adage that France is wonderful, it's just the French who are the problem, is shared across Europe.

"We are admired for our trains, the Airbus and Michelin tyres. But the buck stops there," he said.

Another section of the study deals with how the French see the rest of Europe.

"Believe it or not, the English and the French use almost exactly the same adjectives to describe each other - bar the word 'insular'," Mr Coldong said. "So the feelings are mutual."

What has happened to REAL pizza crust!?! I'm tired of this porus, airy, and not chewy at all pizza crust. I think they only make money because they have the convenience of delivery and an abnormal selection of weird topping 'ideas'!

I seem to never be dissapointed by local pizzarias...its just the crappy national chains. They suck!

ok you guessed it im a christian, and i have quite a few friends who are some form of a vegetarian. so i really am thinking about it, but is it wrong for christians to be vegetarians, because with my parents that would be a thin line to walk.

but i am really thinking about becoming one because i didn't relize how bad it was for us to eat meat.

but that is my question is it a sin to be a vegetarian, like saying it is in the bible?

I didn´t know anything about jainism when I had a dream that I was walking through a temple made in marble (that white and blue stone). My body was of a 7 year old child, with a blue flame surrounding it. Then I found a big flame (without a "person" inside it). I talked to her. She was breathing and when she did it, I felt a lot of love (and brieth at the same time of the flame). The flame talked to me in a sound that remembered the sound of many violins. The color was almost white, but with many colored points.

The strange thing was that there was statues of a naked man as the columns of this temple (that I thought it was Buda). I was very interested in that dream, because it was very real.
So I made a research on Internet and recognized it as a jainist temple. I was always interested in Mahatma Gandhi and I was born in the same day, but I didn´t know that he was jainist.

I have a bad case of social phobia, where it's even hard to go out in public sometimes or just being around people makes me really tense...I just about got fired from one of my jobs b/c of bad perfermance - I couldn't concentrate like a normal person b/c i would always get so nervous...and i don't even drink any coffee or caffeine and i still get nervous. What can i take that will make me calm or who do i have to go see about this problem?
