I'd find some little place that gives acting classes, nothing too serious, or else somehow take a course in school. Maybe get some acting books recommended to you or get an agent and start auditioning for commercials. Except for the books mostly, all of the above is what I did, and it seemed like a good way ot start out.

It helps to have a plan. But the first thing you have to do is gain experience. Audition for all the school and community theater plays you can. Then you will need an agent. If you do not live in or near a city that has talent agents, you will need to move to one when you are old enough to do so. In between these times there are a lot of things you can do to get ready to be an actor. Take voice and speech lesson for example. Take dance lessons and physical fitness. And read, read, read; especially plays and a few carefully selected books about acting. For more info contact me at kencosp@aol.com.

look into getting experience first, thats probably going to be by joining amateur or community theatre - ask around local arts centres / theatres etc for contacts.
Then, start looking for a reputable casting agency, as a general rule most agencies that are reputable do not ask you to pay upfront to join, instead they take a little commission for whatever wages you get from with that they find for you.
The internet - sites like Mandy.com etc, have a lot of film auditions, mainly for student and festiavl films which are one way of getting into film. When you go for an audition you find online, always always always take a friend - who is 18+ years old, and never ever hand over any money! And dont do any "auditions in private!".

Hi,
I have created a website with a lot of free information. You can download a free ebook guide to starting your acting career. The ebook is entitled: What It Takes To Become An Actor.
You will find the answer to your question there. Otherwise I would have to write it all down again. I think you'll find the answer very thorough.

you will not get any auditions until eventually you have an agent and you will not get an agent until eventually you have some journey. brokers are actually not interested in novices. you are able to desire to get some journey first. this could take a minimum of 5 years and you will could desire to spend all your loose time doing appearing. i don't have an appearing occupation yet i understand that appearing is oversubscribed. What this implies it that there are greater expert actors than there are appearing jobs, so the brokers do not could desire to tackle novices.

You could audition for an advertisement or commercial. You could also look on the Internet for acting jobs. You could also act in community or school plays.

Call the University in your city, ask for the Theater Department and ask for recommendations on acting teachers and/or acting schools.

There are auditions that they advertise on T.V. or in newpapers or magazines. Just call the number and set up an audition. Good luck!
