I just came up with a new voting system proposal. It consists of the following: voters would receive a ballot with the list of all the runoffs. A voter then must vote for 1 candidate in each runoff. Third party and major party voters would be treated the same since they both have to vote strategically in runoffs where a candidate from either a third party or major party isn't there. The winner would be the candidate that either wins every runoff or the one with the most points. Allocating points could be 3 points for a runoff victory and 1 for a runoff tie (just like in soccer). Should there be a tie between 2 candidates, the result of the runoff is considered. If the runoff was a tie, a ballot will be chosen at random to determine the winner. What do you guys think?

By that, I mean to ask if the fact that Noah had three sons and they started three major human civilizations is there anykind of evidence to prove that, or would you have to trace everything back to the tower of Babel?
I've heard that there are three major ones - indus valley, african, and the middle east
and that europeans actually branched off of either the middle eastern or indus valley cultures
man, I worded this badly
What are the major cradles of civilization? Or is there just one? I guess there would be a few minor ones that branch off of a major one, or a few major ones that would branch off of another major one that would hypothetically have built the tower of Babel.
If anyone has a good idea on this and isn't confused by what I put up there please tell me.

My husband and I are traveling in my car. I am driving and as we cross a bridge, a huge truck comes toward us in the oncoming lane. I loose control of the car and to avoid the truck go over the edge of the bridge and into the water. The dream ends with my husband and I calmly waiting for the car to fill with water, so we can swim out.

Any ideas?

I believe it is the word of God, however, it was written in a different time period and culture. For instance, there are scriptures that talk about women covering their heads and being silent in church yet if you go to a majority of churches (in the U.S.) that isn't happening...does that mean the women are sinning? Also, it talks about not defiling your body because it is the temple of the Holy Spirit, yet many men and women have pierced ears and tattoos. To me these and other scriptures, just show us that the Bible is more of a guide to living and being more Christlike...not a literal word-for-word playbook. Any thoughts?

I can't even tell you how many jobs I have applied for but there seems to be a corner on the market that won't allow me to relocate there. What gives? Does anyone from the area know how to break in? I have 10 years of experience in construction from estimating to permitting. I also have skills with Administrative Assistance and can't even find a job to do that let alone get a call back from anyone. Geesh! I thought I had a stellar resume. Any feed back from anyone who has tried to relocate anywhere? Thanks for your help.

I noticed that some married women seem lost when their husbands are out of town. Their whole routine changes and they don't know what to do with themself.

Then, I look at myself. I am divorced and my daughter does not live with me.

I have had to adjust to being alone and its been hard at at times.

Are married women better off because they have a companion to depend on for support?

I really don't talk to anyone about my internal thoughts and feelings. Maybe I am missing out on something.

i know rendering speed is mostly based on how fast your cpu is but if i increase to more and faster ram, will that take any load off my cpu and make my renderings faster?
I now have a intel pentium d processor with 1gb dd2 pc4200 ram and im thinking about upgradeing two 2 gigs of pc5300 ram. And no i am not going to get a new cpu because im waiting until winter or spring for the 8 core processors to come out and until next winter when their prices come down :P

I have a very large and beautiful swordtail. Last night my husband noticed that his tail was gone.We have not noticed any of the other fish eating at his tail. His scales also look like they are coming away from his body some.He was so pretty and big,about 5 inches long.What is going on with him and are the other fish in danger?
