My husband and I are traveling in my car. I am driving and as we cross a bridge, a huge truck comes toward us in the oncoming lane. I loose control of the car and to avoid the truck go over the edge of the bridge and into the water. The dream ends with my husband and I calmly waiting for the car to fill with water, so we can swim out.

Any ideas?

Traveling in a car together represents you both headed in the same direction to reach a similar goal or destination or purpose. Crossing a bridge represents reaching a critical point which will allow you to cross over obstacles in your life. Huge truck represents a huge obstacle sent deliberately to keep you from crossing over. When you lost control of the car it meant you lost your handle on how to manage a certain situation or you begin to lose your way. Next, you go over the bridge. At this point, it means that you have to abort a certain goal that you were trying to achieve. You save yourselves by swimming out, but goal you were trying to reach is went under and gone.

Huge truck comes toward you = danger, situation you want to avoid, problems, difficulties
You lose control to avoid the truck..= take initiative
Calmly wait for car to fill with water so you can swim out = back up plan.

Looks like you are pretty much in control in the dream. Notice that you are the one who drove and you are the one to avoid the accident. Your dream indicates that you are a calm person. There is not much telling about your husband. Perhaps, in your household, you make the most decision. The dream basically vent out your personalities. You like to have control, even you lose it, you always have a back up plan in life.

This could be already happened or recent/future:

You are leading something (family business) and you are doing well till when you need to go to other decisive step, then some unforeseen event happens and prevents you to achieve your plan. Fortunately for you, you fall down into water. That's a good sign for your confidence. Don't worry
