=================
John 3:3-17 The Message
=================

"Jesus said, "You're absolutely right. Take it from me: Unless a person is born from above, it's not possible to see what I'm pointing to—to God's kingdom."

4"How can anyone," said Nicodemus, "be born who has already been born and grown up? You can't re-enter your mother's womb and be born again. What are you saying with this 'born-from-above' talk?"

5-6Jesus said, "You're not listening. Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation—the 'wind-hovering-over-the-water' creation, the invisible moving the visible, a baptism into a new life—it's not possible to enter God's kingdom. When you look at a baby, it's just that: a body you can look at and touch. But the person who takes shape within is formed by something you can't see and touch—the Spirit—and becomes a living spirit.

7-8"So don't be so surprised when I tell you that you have to be 'born from above'—out of this world, so to speak. You know well enough how the wind blows this way and that. You hear it rustling through the trees, but you have no idea where it comes from or where it's headed next. That's the way it is with everyone 'born from above' by the wind of God, the Spirit of God."

9Nicodemus asked, "What do you mean by this? How does this happen?"

10-12Jesus said, "You're a respected teacher of Israel and you don't know these basics? Listen carefully. I'm speaking sober truth to you. I speak only of what I know by experience; I give witness only to what I have seen with my own eyes. There is nothing secondhand here, no hearsay. Yet instead of facing the evidence and accepting it, you procrastinate with questions. If I tell you things that are plain as the hand before your face and you don't believe me, what use is there in telling you of things you can't see, the things of God?

13-15"No one has ever gone up into the presence of God except the One who came down from that Presence, the Son of Man. In the same way that Moses lifted the serpent in the desert so people could have something to see and then believe, it is necessary for the Son of Man to be lifted up—and everyone who looks up to him, trusting and expectant, will gain a real life, eternal life"

Why was being born once too much? u had no effort in it.. it was all ur mother doing the hard work...

but as to the second birth
you are not just flesh
you are spirit
and soul

that which is born of flesh is flesh
that which is born of Spirit is spirit
man is not a shallow person
he needs a deeper meaning to his life and being born of spirit taps him into that realm

maybe you should call upon the name of the Lord and have some kind of entrance and see that to be born of the Spirit is even more profound that merely being born of flesh

Being "Born again" isn't a physical birth, but rather a change in the way you live your life. It is symbolic of leaving the old crap behind and starting your life over again, only this time, with God as a part of it.

From this rebirth of thought, new believers can grow in their walk with God and they learn to see the world through different eyes. Where they once saw a homeless person, they now see someone who needs help and feel compelled to actually help. Where they saw a street walker (Aka, Prostitute,) they now see a shattered soul that needs a friend, and approach to talk to her.

The end result of all of this, is that maybe the world become a better place.

The whole concept of "born again" is complicated when one compares how a Catholic and a Protestant views it. What many Protestants (fundamentals and evangelicals) believe about being born again is that you realize your sinfulness (is this a word?) and then with the help of someone recite the "sinners prayer." Once it is said, you are born again and saved. I say this because I was feeling down about something one day then a friend of mine talked to me and asked if I wanted to get over it. She prayed with me and let me say the sinner's prayer (I didn't know what it was at the time). Afterwards she asked how I felt and I said I felt better talking about it. I didn't realize that I was supposed to be saved. I really don't consider that being born again.

I guess what being born again means is to die. I know, it sounds scary but one must die--die from your old self. I guess this is where baptism comes into play. Water is a symbol of death (as seen on Noah's arc) and life. You approach the baptismal waters as your old self, enter and die, then rise up born again. Essentially, you die with Christ and Rise with him. For a better answer, check out www.catholic.com

I am sure you know the answer to your question. So heres my thoughts. If you find this to be so silly and unrealistic, then wait 80 years or there about. When you open your eyes...all this will come back to you....and by then your question will be...Why wasn't i born again?

"Except an man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God"St.John 3:3

Its better to hang with the crowd in heaven than with those here. Remember that in the end no one will go with you. Its just you and your maker, so what will it be?

God Bless

You essentially answered your own question. When we are born into this life in a human body, we are in for good times and bad times. And there is no promise we'll have more good than the bad. But when we are born again(spiritually) we know that the future we are promised will be one of only good times.

The first time you are born of the flesh...the second time is a spiritual birth...a spiritual awakening, if you will. Basically you admit that you are in need of Christ and allow Him to be your guide and God through your life. Then you strive to be more like Him. I tell you, when you truly become born again, it is like really seeing for the first time.

The Scripture says, "Except a man be born of the WATER and of the SPIRIT (repentance and water baptism, NOT a physical rebirth) he cannot enter into the Kingdom of Heaven." Therefore, one has to accept the tenets of rebirth in order to have salvation. Hal Lindsey said it best, "He who is born once shall die twice. He who is born twice shall die but once."

To be born again you have to return to the form as a child, most all children are loving and accepting and non-judgmental. You also have to take everything you have learned and been taught since you were born and chuck it out the window, you have been lied to and taught false crap your entire life and when you come to that realization you can start anew and everything is possible.

it is not related to your wish actually. if God wants you to be born again, then you are born... if you believe in God, no matter which religion you believe, then you believe the life after the death. and this life is totally different from here. so, you will not be born there again you will be revived. so relax, it wil not harm you. contrary it will give you the eternal life. if you are a good person believing and obeying God, then you will have the eternal comfort and fun... =)
