Except by its own definition, of course.

We are strongly conditioned by pro-government propaganda to put government in a category separate from "crime organizations," but what real difference is there? The only distinctions are arbitrary, ad hoc, and self-serving ones that the government itself defines.

Governments claim a territory and write rules for the people who live there. So do crime organizations.

Crime organizations routinely perpetrate extortion, abduction, theft, and robbery. Crime organizations murder people for substantial acts of defiance. Crime organizations engage in wars with similar organizations. And governments also do all of these things. The only differences are in the names used for the activities, with government always having the benefit of the more respectful synonym.

For example, when a crime organization charges a fee to let a captive go free, we call it ransom; when the government does it, we call it bail.

Is there really any difference?

Gorden Brown and George Bush want to make the moderates stronger in the middle east.

How when poitics is so divisive - and where the extremes on both sides are of the opinion that you are either for us or against us..or that you either agree with Isreal or you're a anti semite etc...or you are either muslim or you're a godless infidel - can they possibly strengthen the moderates?

Also it appears that Tony Blair is possibly going to be envoy to the middle east from the unted nations..

How do you think he'll do? Bearing in mind he has actually had some success in Northern Ireland, getting two bitterely opposing sides of the religious spectrum talking to each other?

Is this the war on freedom? can we really say that, having to sign a government list while checking out certin books from the Librarry, Being spied on and then lied to, and actually using "delayed warrents for searching people is helpig us fight terror?
When we trade liberty for security..who really wins? When we ask questions about the war only to be asked in return " why are you asking questions about the war?" What kind of a system is that?
I'm not a Republican, I'm not a Democrat. But When our leader Insults our objections and pleas of concern and then gives himself the label "Educator in Cheif" it sounds like they are trying to take the power of our voices away.
They have a saying in the Army "failing to plan is planning to fail" If we just sit back and ride this out like we have been doing, enduring the highly questionable changes and attempted changes to our constitution. what will our future be like?don't you the freedom to object and not be ivestigated

Im 16 and im 5'7 i know people gon say i will grow BUT, my dad is 5'5 his dads 5'5 and my moms 5'0 her mom is also 5'0 but her dads 6'0 LOL, so ye its kinda hard to tell what im going to be, my dad told me when he was in gr 10 he stopped growing at 5'5, so what do u guys think...how much more could i possibly grow and am i too short?

They ate the wrong apple. What did that have to do with their nakedness?

Here's what I think happened.

God gave them loins (the "tree" and "apple") and power of creation and he told them not to use it...he had plans for instructing them for creation is quite a responsibility..but Eve, enticed by Satan who said they could be as great as God (creators after all) was then overcome with motherly instincts and tempted Adam into having sex...God came down like a tons of bricks on them and they hid their loins...the tools of their betrayal , sin..in shame.

This is why Christians and other religious are obsessed with sex and sexual sin...even though it is barely mentioned by Jesus. They feel guilty about sexual thoughts because that was the Original Sin.

My cat has been miaoing all the time ever since last night, we've given him his favorite type of can food but he doesn't want it and we open the door for him and he goes out and starts miaoing even more loudly, I can't stand it anymore, last night I couldn't even sleep and I don't know if he is a female or male even, when I brought him at the pet shop the keeper said he was a male, but my brother said he isn't because he doesn't have a pouch at the tail. Anyway please tell me what's wrong. Please this is urgent, I can't even eat breakfast anymore.

Ok,i need some serious advice! I have been in a long-distance relationship with my bf Robert,who lives 2 states away,and weve been together for a year. I just got a trojan adware.w32.expdwnldr virus which keeps popping up a system alert saying I have to pay for anti spyware to fix it. I know this is a hoax because i have 2 programs called xoftspy se, and registry cleaner that i scanned and removed all trojan and other viruses. It still comes up! Also a large wallpaper in red that has a poison sign that says your privacy is in danger! and you need to install privacy protection software now. I've read that people have downloaded and removed it with spynomore, but when i try to remove the items after i have scanned them it says i need a license code. Now i don't want to waste $40 on buying something when i already have 2 software programs. So can someone let me borrow their license code, or tell me how i can find a license code that works or another way to get rid of this? Thanks

hi i am having my first baby and she will be here in a few weeks i am going through this huge nesting phase...and i am about to go crazy!!! i am washing all the clothes right now to hang up and put in the drawers...then i started to go through the other stuf and i dont know where to put it!!! its still a few weeks til she gets here and i dont want to put the bottles in the cabnets yet...WHERE DO I PUT THEM NOW? and then the bibs i have a lot of bibs i washed but where do they go???i have a small dresser just for room for her clothes...so i couldnt put them in there...what about the burp clothes??? i have lots of those...but where to put them??? also all the recieving blankets...where do i put all of those...i have a few in the crib and basinette but still have several what do i do with them? and then the pasifiers...where do they go for the next few weeks??? ugh i need help please help i am about to go crazy!!!
