You shouldn't worry about your height! And you will probably grow a few more inches before you are done. My son has the opposite worry, he is 6-6 and only 16 and will probably grow some more, I have no idea where in the family lines he got that height! I tend to blame it on the growth hormones in the food we eat now like chicken and beef.

By the way, 5-7 isn't considered short!

Well guys stop growing around the age of 22yrs old. Your parent's height does have a say in how tall you'll be but it's still too early to tell. There's nothing wrong with being 5'7". You're not considered tall but I would say average height. Anyone 5'9" and taller I would consider tall. Think about the average woman's height, at least you'll be taller than most girls. But even that shouldn't matter. You're fine the way you are, don't compare yourself to someone else and think you're too short.

there is an old wives tale, that if your parents happen to measure you at age 2, your adult height will be twice that. My son is 20, when he was 2 he was 3 feet and one half inches tall....today he is actually 6 feet 1 inch. that is all I have to go on. my 27 year old son is 5 feet 9 inches, didn't know at the time to measure him at 2 years old. so it's not an exact science. my husband grew 2 inches in college. so you really won't know for a few more years what your final height will be. whatever it turns out to be, don't let it define you as a person. good luck to you.

You will probably be too short for pro basketball.
The average height for a man in the US in 5'8''. The average height for a woman is 5'4''. You could easily reach 5'10'' as most men don't stop growing till they are nineteen.

It's shorter than average for a guy, but not so short as to cause problems.
