I just got a trojan adware.w32.expdwnldr virus which keeps popping up a system alert saying I have to pay for anti spyware to fix it. I know this is a hoax because i have 2 programs called xoftspy se, and registry cleaner that i scanned and removed all trojan and other viruses. It still comes up! Also a large wallpaper in red that has a poison sign that says your privacy is in danger! and you need to install privacy protection software now. I've read that people have downloaded and removed it with spynomore, but when i try to remove the items after i have scanned them it says i need a license code. Now i don't want to waste $40 on buying something when i already have 2 software programs. So can someone let me borrow their license code, or tell me how i can find a license code that works or another way to get rid of this? Thanks

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser.

you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus. i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar.

firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser.

as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE. download firefox for free, Just have a try:

get
http://www.superantispyware.com/downloadfile.html?productid=SUPERANTISPYWAREFREE
then go to net get reg cleaner, after running sup.antispy use add and remove program that installed the trojan run reg cleaner (jouni vuorio version )to remove any entries leftover from the uninstalled program that are left over in the registry this should fix the problem. If of course you still want to keep using that pro. dont remove if when you use pro. it requires to hook to the inet it is possible you could get the same again. I had a simalar problem with a pro. called spylocked (usless) . ps.i run S.A.S every 3/4 days depending on amount of downloads.

Try downloading and installing and scan your PC with Windows Defender or AdAware from LavaSoft, they are free to download.

Stop using Microsoft Internet Explorer, download and install Mozilla FireFox and install AdBlock Plus pluggin to prevent you from catching spywares and trojans.

Xoftspy use to be listed as a rogue program & I would not trust it, however you have smitfraud & anti spyware programs wont remove this you need a smitfraud removal tool:

whatever you do, DON'T pay for whatever they're trying to sell to you. try to get rid of it with kaspersky's security suite anti-spyware or windows defender. kaspersky's is a trial but a full trial with all features and is one of the best out their.
