when i was a bad gambler, i lose away all my money, my family, my friends and more, now i get it all back, and even have a happy family, how many percent for a man like me to be bad again?

After discovering a website by archealogist called Patrick Geryl, I have become very concerned regarding his predictions for 2012. Apparently the magnetic fields of the earth are set to shift, causing massive earthquakes that will destroy buildings etc. Is this true? Can anyone give some implications?

My husband and I rent in Virginia. Our lease is up August 1st and we have not recieved copy of the new lease to review. I asked for it at the end of May and again today (6/23) . Our lease states that it has to be signed by July 1st. Our management company said again today that they will send it on Tuesday, 4 days from now, and we will have it by Wednesday. It has to be signed by Friday. Shouldn't we have a little more time to review it? Plus that gives us 2 days to take time off work to drive and meet the woman to sign it. What do I do?

My mom has been shopping for a good used car for me & we haven't had much luck. Just recently we bought a Honda that seemed to be just fine with the exception of a few minor problems, that is, until we actually started driving it. Now she's frustrated because she had to spend about a thousand bucks on repairs & now they're telling her there's a problem with the time belt (whatever that is) & now she just wants to get it fixed & sell it. We thought it was a good deal since it only had over 80K miles on it. So what should we do next time we look for a car?

=> When I connect one side of a lamp to the positive terminal of a battery (or one pin of an electricity outlet in my house), and I connect the other side of the lamp to a grounded rod, will the lamp light up? Why (not)?

I know that one of electricity's basic rules is:
In order for current to flow, you need a closed circuit (so electrons can flow from one side to the other).
So my gut feeling says no, but then again I made this reflection that bothers me:

they say earth attracts electrons. For example: when I touch a static charged object (or an AC live wire, 1 phase), current will flow through my body to earth, right?
In this case there's isn't really a closed circuit, is there? (I'm only toughing 1 phase).
So why shouldn't the lamp light up??
