Not always. When you're rich and without a purpose in life and someone to care about and share the happy and the sad times with, wealth becomes not so important anymore.

This is one long evergreen question. Do money makes us happy. Right to being honest and from experience coming from a poor life to being successful, the answer is NO. Money cannot buy true happinness BUT it can help definetly help to make you happy AND it does make one happy in a different kind of happiness. It is up to an individual to put the priority of her/his happiness on what?

If you come from a hard life and to make life easier is your main priority. Then you are not wrong to say Money can make you happy. and no one should judge you for that. As long as you do not cause harm to anyone in your path.

How many of us (when it come back to basic survival the instinct we have and are born with) will direcltly choose Money for happiness. I am for one amongst those.

From going through life though and from experience I have to admit in the end Money does not buy happiness but it surely can help.

I'm a single mother and as much as I wish I was rich, I don't believe I would be happier. I like to earn my money by working hard. Also money doesn't help me get a great husband and father for my kids, which would make me happy.

No. But it's also hard to be happy when you're poor and have to worry about the next meal. Riches can provide the comfort in which we can pursue happiness.

Well, it cannot buy relationships, (it shouldn't anyway); but it can always help, it takes stress off of you, and makes giving and helping easier. I do not believe money is everything, but it can help you a lot. I think it depends... do people matter more than things to you? I guess it's not an idea we can generalize. I suggest you stop thinking about money and get on with your life, though, because if you don't,you won't be able to make money, and pay for your house, your cars, etc.. justt kidding! you can think about it all you want!! I do not have the right to tell you what to do... lol.

Are you talking about money?

According to an old saying, "Money can't buy you love, but it CAN buy the most amazing substitutes".

As to happiness...I don't know. If you're willing t supply the necessary quantities of $$$, I'll be happy to take on an experiment in that direction for you and find out. What do you say???

Cheers

A rich person is not the one who has a lot but the one who needs less

Being rich can provide us with things that we need, and things that we want, and things that don't matter, either way.

Things. But not love. Things, without love, are simply things.

Happiness comes from love. Hopefully, there is enough money in a relationship to provide the things that are needed to live. Food, housing, clothing, education.....

Sadly yes, but to me... life is about way more than money. Nothing annoys me more than materialisic people who are comsumed with themselves and only themselves. Money can't buy true happiness... just look at all the people who committ suicide in Hollywood who are incredibly rich.

Money does not buy happiness;it does give a person a sense of financial security, but that's all.
Other things come into play;values are very important.Does that person value education, manners,
perseverance?Doing something of importance,getting a good education,
sharing knowledge,
supporting a cause,doing something
of value all are important in forming a person's self-worth.
