The rate of growth of the epidemic (new cases per day) is given by the function r(t) = 30e^0.05t.

a) Find a formula for the total number of cases of flu in the first t days.

b) Use that formula to find the total number of cases in the first 15 days.

Show all work for both part a and b.

Ok so my friend misplaced her cellphone and hasnt been able to find it for the past few days.

Can anyone who has moved to France on a permanent basis give me the pro's and the con's. I have been to France many times and the idea is so tempting.
I have not just had holidays there, but have spent time in rural areas I.E.REAL FRANCE!. All the Brits i have met out there seem so happy with their choice and it makes good sense to join them.

I have a beta in a five gallon filtered tank. I have noticed some really tiny, thin strands floating about in the water, not a lot, just three to five that I have seen at a given time. They are really thin and translucent, but they don't seem to move on their own, yet I'm not really sure. They are swept away by the current of the filtered water dropping from above. My beta seems fine: he eats; he flares up all the time; his gills seem fine; I don't see any of the little strands on his body. I just want to make sure it's not some sort of parasite. I have bought the fizzling tablets for the parasites (Parasite Clear) but haven't used them; I just bought in case they were parasites. If they are, and I need to use them, do you know if I drop the dosage right in the thank with the fish?

P.S. I had three balloon mollies previously in that tank, but they passed. I did change the water, but didn't vacuum the gravel. Could the strands be left over mollies poop?

My daughter, 27 and my mother, 88 have some issues between them. It hurts me to hear my daughter say it's too late to have a good relationship with her Grandmother. I feell like I'm trying to mend the fence between them. I would like to see them heal the hurts before my mother passes on.

So my wife was sick the other day and me being the smart one decided to take our kids to her sisters house so they wouldn't get sick too. My wife got all mad at me because she thought it was stupid that I wanted to keep everyone from getting sick. So who do you think was right? Me or her? Did I do something wrong?

How can people even say this is proof? I fail to understand their logic, or pseudo logic.

Two months ago, my g/f and I moved into a rented flat on a short-assured tenancy. We were advised by the letting agent that we were required to stay in the flat (or at least be liable for the rent) for a minimum of six months. If we wished to end the tenancy prior to the end of that period, we would have to pay a fee and would still be liable for rent until either new tenants were found, or the six months were up.

Our landlord has now contacted us to advise that they wish to sell the flat in order to purchase a new house, and that their move in date is before the end of our 6-month tenancy period. We would therefore need to be out before that date.

We've agreed with the landlord to move out early, on the understanding that we are compensated, but I'm not sure what we are legally entitled to under these circumstances. The landlord has suggested things like giving us 2 months' rent free of charge, or paying our moving costs but I'm not sure if we should hold out for more?

My roomate and have been debating whether to purchase a house or a condo in NYC, in one of the boroughs to be specific. So we are gonna see the house today. So hopefully it won't be a run down shack.

We wanted to go with a condo b/c we wanted something that was move in ready. But a house might be more practical in the long run. We have agreed that if the house needs some TLC then we are willing to work with it and as long as its livable.

How much should we initiate the offer at 10% below asking or lower? I was actually thinking to start real low at 15% and work our way up if necessary. Would we be taking a risk?

Also, if our offer is rejected and there is no counter could we still make another offer at the asking or would it be too late at that point?

Ok, here are all the details i can imagine would be relevant.

I have the Linksys WRT54GS wireless router set up with the CAT5 network cable going to the "internet" port from my DSL modem. I have another length of CAT5 going from the "1" port to the ethernet port on my desktop computer. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate. I can get into my router configuration and set up my wireless network. When I do this, my laptop sees the network, gets an IP address and connects to the wireless network but I have no internet connectivity for either my desktop or my laptop. I know they are on the same network because I can use the remote desktop feature on my laptop to log in to my desktop (the whole reason i started this project). Unfortunately it isnt doing me any good because I cant connect to the internet. When run the cable directly from the modem to the ethernet port on the desktop (eliminating the router completely) it works just fine, evidenced by the fact i'm able to post this. Help!
