So my wife was sick the other day and me being the smart one decided to take our kids to her sisters house so they wouldn't get sick too. My wife got all mad at me because she thought it was stupid that I wanted to keep everyone from getting sick. So who do you think was right? Me or her? Did I do something wrong?

Perhaps she thought it wasn't a good idea because she keeps the kids and since she was sick she may have wanted you to take care of them for her,not drop them off a family memebers house.

Your right for what you did. Your wife probably thought that you did it not thinking of her when she was sick. When a person is sick they like to be comforted and she might have thought that you didn't want to comfort her while she was sick. In her eye's you didn't want to be around her to take care of her. Remember those wedding vows "in sickness and in health". She wasn't mad at you for taking the kids to her sisters but rather she got mad because you didn't take care of her. Think about it when your sick she'll more then likely take care of you and be by your side or patting your back while pucking or cleaning it up whichever. Don't take it personally her feelings are just hurt from your actions. Trust me when I'm sick I want my man to bring me some chicken noodle soup and some 7up to feel better. If you didn't go back to take care of her then that's what she's upset about. She just doesn't want to admit that because she'll sound selfish if she does say it. When my guy's sick I don't want to get it but he's feeling lousy already so the least I can do is make him feel a little better by "babying" him until he's better. At least next time she's sick make sure you take the kids to her sisters and you go back and take care of her. Trust me she won't have any complaints then.

You did the right thing. She wouldn't have been able to take care of the kids if they got sick as well. You would have to take care of all of them. Not only that but it gives her a chance to rest and get better when the kids aren't there. She will thank you for it once she feels better.

You were probably wise to protect your kids from what she had. You may have jumped the gun by just packing them up and going, though. If she remained in her room away from the children and they from her, the kids would likely have been OK.
It could also have been perceived as you just getting the kids out of your hair since she was incapacitated. If that was your hidden motive, then she is justified in her being offended.
So, sit and communicate with her. Hear what she has to say and examine yourself before giving any reply/excuse.

Your wife probably only feels hurt because she feels contaminated and unwanted. She's also probably short-tempered due to her illness. Don't take anything she says personally. If she was vomiting, you probably did the right thing.
Assure her that you love her and you only want what's best for her and you children. Also, you seem very upset in this question, so try to let it go.

Did she have the flu? If so, then you did a smart thing. If it was simply something she ate, well then maybe it was overkill.

You did the right thing but if it is summer so if it was allergies or something then you didn't need to protect them.
