Was "The God Delusion" actually a God-inspired piece of writing we can all learn from, isn't professor Dawkins really a visionary?

tell me about it. I'd like to hear your story. What it felt like, how old you were, etc. I was born in 1973 so i've only seen stock footage but am moved every time i watch any of the landings on video/dvd....but please don't send me any of that ''it was all faked'' rhubarb 'cos its getting a bit boring. Bart sibrel deserved the punch he got off buzz! also if you want to be really fussy you could say that the 1st actual words ON the moon (i mean in actual physical contact) was buzz saying ''contact light''!! Agree yes/no

Last night i started having trouble swallowing/eating and breathing. Everytime i breathe in deep it hurts like right in the center of my upper body. Whenever i swallow something (like food or drink) it hurts and its almost like i can feel it going down my throat and it doesn't hurt too much until it reaches my stomach or wherever it is the food goes. Also if i tilt my head back enough I can feel my throat hurting. I don't really know how to explain it but my moms at work and i don't want to bother her right now and she's mad at me..like always but i just want to know what i can do to make this pain go away.

*i don't know if this helps but if i can somehow muster a burp i feel a little better but then the pain just comes right back. any advice would seriously be appreciated.

Hey guys,

I'm really into shows where a person can control elements like fire, water, ice etc with their hands or create magic balls in their hands for some reason. But, I cannot find anything at all that has any magic in it.

Does anyone know any show/anime/cartoon/movie where the characters control magic (preferablly an "Ice power" I love that)

I know im a nerd for asking lol but please no Harry Potter answers
Any thoughts are appreciated! xox

Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton liquidated the contents of their blind trust upon learning it contained investments of $5 million to $25 million that could pose conflicts of interest or prove to be embarrassing to her presidential campaign.
The blind trust held stock in pharmaceutical companies, including $250,000-$500,000 in Biogen Idec and Johnson & Johnson and $100,000-$250,000 in Amgen, Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline. It also invested in General Electric and Raytheon, two leading defense contractors. The trust had a varied portfolio, with investments in numerous other companies, including Exxon Mobil, BP Amoco, Walt Disney and eBay.

Hmmm...Defense (WEAPONS) contractors, Drug Companies and Big oil.............

They should have bought stock in Hypocrisy Inc.

While evolution is a scientific theory , it has facts supporting it from a broad range of life science disciplines. There are absolutely NO COMPETING THEORIES with which to doubt evolution.
Republicans are full of other false beliefs like it's possible to defeat terrorism, capitalism is the only best system for everything ect., taxes are always too high ect. Of course, Hard core Republicans are proof if you tell a lie often enough, such as we are right to had conquered Iraq, regardless of reason, they'll believe it because their leaders tell them what to believe.

It's funny how Republican bozos want creationism to be taught in a science class, but do you think they would ever want it taught where socialism had succeeded? Of course not. They are so rigid in their beliefs that to even attempt to reason with them is futile, their ability to compromise comes only where they lack the power to ram their system down everyone's throat.

I was out shopping and came upon a wedding dress blow out clearance. I found the most gorgeous Vera Wang wedding dress ( it's a bit big, but still perfect) for $50 so I bought it. At the moment I don't even have a boyfriend but I hope to get married someday.
I think I made a smart purchase.
What do you think?
Has anyone else done this?

A few weeks ago I called 911 for my elderly uncle because he was having a hard time breathing. When the paramedics took him away they also took all of his medications with them. Hew stayed in two different hospitals first Alta Bates then Herrick Hospital for a few days. Now he is back home. Although he has received some new prescriptions he still needs the meds the paramedics took. Where in the world can I possibly begin to search for his bag of meds? Unfortunately his medi care only allows him to get 6 prescriptions filled per month. This makes it impossible to have them re-prescribed in a timely manner. I have no idea where or how to begin this search for him. Any real suggestions would be deeply appreciated. At least I would like to know if they usually get disposed of in cases like this.

I work with illegals and most of them are saying that its only right that they be legalized since actually the southwestern US is part of Mexico and that they plan to retake it politically by sheer numbers.

This means you are automatically or delusionally assuming that the men who wrote down god's supposed word were 100% honest. Now as you will be aware, culture evolves, and in Western Europe, for example, one of our main cultural norms is honesty. Yes of course not everyone is honest, but the majority of people I meet seem to be. We are known as the developed world, this goes for mindset as well, Have you every been to the Far East? Mostly their culture is patriarchal and 'saving face' is number 1, honesty often takes a backseat to this.If we look at other parts of their culture we can see patterns, prostitution for example. London 100 years ago or more was rife with prostitutes, now it has evolved. It is fair to say that parts of the Far East will one day. Attitudes will also change as they do. So 2000 years ago we cannot for one minute assume that people were as honest as today and saving face and propaganda would much more likely to have been the 'order of the day' What do you think?
