I was out shopping and came upon a wedding dress blow out clearance. I found the most gorgeous Vera Wang wedding dress ( it's a bit big, but still perfect) for $50 so I bought it. At the moment I don't even have a boyfriend but I hope to get married someday.
I think I made a smart purchase.
What do you think?
Has anyone else done this?

I think you got a deal! A Vera Wang for $50???? That is insane! I would have bought 5! I definitely think it is smart. Wedding dresses can be thousands of dollars! So now, when your time comes yo uwill have the dress of your dreams, and if something changes or you end up wanting another dress...sell that baby on e-bay and you'll make a killing!

well.. there was a girl that brought something to give to her husband on their wedding day. She brought it 3 days before she met the man of her dreams who she later married 4 years later.

I think you made a smart purchase too. but for a differant reasons.. personally I would sell the dress and make an huge
profit.. Vera Wang dresses are expensive.. you really lucked out of a deal.

Ahhh, enjoy it! For $50, if you don't like it when you really do get married, it won't be much of a loss.

And if worse comes to worse, you can use it at a formal or for Halloween.

Yes, you are crazy, but not in a bad way. Too good a price for a Vera Wang.

A Vera Wang for $50! Yes, you made a good purchase. If you don't end up wearing it some day, you will be able to re-sell it for way more than that.

It's a smart purchase just make sure you don't store it someplace where boyfriends can find it. Men are weird. They don't understand the thrill we get from finding a great bargain and might think the girl they are dating is nuts if she has a wedding dress on hand before she's even dating a guy. It's like talking about how many babies or what our kids would look like on the first date.

Personally I'd sell it now and use my huge profit for something fun. :)

A Vera Wang dress for $50? You'll find that man one day, but you'll never find another Vera Wang for that price. Good purchase!

Hmmmm, if the dress is simple, you could get it altered and/or died so u can wear it to other functions. Or you could hold off until u meet that special guy. Overall tho, $50 for a wedding dress is a damn good deal even if you dont end up wearing it! I wouldnt pass up that offer either :o)

I think that is a great idea. I am about to do the same. I have my moms wedding gown in my closet, but I know that I won't be able to fit in it because I am no size six. besides, I am sure that if you hadn't bought that dress, the next time you would go looking for one, it would be either extremely expensive or not something that you would wear.

I think you are a smart shopper! Great idea! As another respondent suggested, I would have the dress preserved until your big day.
