most times it is my granddaughters smile.
other times it is my daughters face laughing.
She is with the Lord and that give me peace.
but right now when I close my eyes,
I see you walking and laughing,
and being adored my your family.
a miracle is coming into your life.

For me, my peaceful place is to be on the shore of one of the Great Lakes (I live in Michigan), and go to someplace like Holland, Michigan's Tunnel Point Park. It has a wonderful wooden stairs that go down the hillside, or you can walk the long way to the tunnel to the beach.
But the best place in the park is at the Gazebo at the top of the stairs. I love standing up there at sunset and watching the waves crash on the shore as the sun sets over the horizon. Watching that peaceful scene reminds me of God's love. While I don't always feel him near me, he's always there when I need him, and like the sunrise, his promises will always be there. With the sunset, I know that there is always hope for tomorrow.

Debra, that's beautiful.....thank you. Here's what I'm imagining:
Strolling on the beach, staring at a crimson sunset as the birds fly over in a rhythmical motion searching for a tree to slumber. The gentle warm winds caresses my cheeks with kisses... the waves are crashing slowly and calmly against the seashore, I suddenly feel Angels wrapping their wings around me, and all I feel is love.....and complete serenity.......

I used to imagine peaceful scenes of nature, quiet meadows, sunlight on the bayou, then I experienced Hurricane Katrina. I now know the absolute most peaceful scene is in the eye of a hurricane. Time stands still, everything holds its breath, and all is silent.

whilst i seem up on the celebrities on a quiet non violent night, i think of of my grandfather. he's such an notion to me. He embodied each thing that could define a place style. I bear in mind sitting via the campfire at my cabin whilst i develop into youthful. Mosquitos shooting at me, a cool wind, brushes my hair lower back, the music is great. quite great. Simon and Garfunkel, Rick Springfield maybe? whilst i'm reminiscing of the previous, i'm no longer at a state of tranquility, i'm stricken. My existence now's particularly difficult, as I conflict with melancholy as i believe an vacancy interior me. I fill it up each and every time. however the emotional crutches do no longer linger. i'm not sure every physique particularly does locate peace. The stresses fade yet they're nevertheless there interior the history. The winds of replace, die down yet there's a typhoon close by.

Actually, when I closed my eyes I didn't have time to imagine a scene. Before I could think of anything, a cool breeze wafted in from the balcony door my wife left open, and tranquillity settled on me without having to picture a thing. Funny things like that are a great blessing. :)

A pathway that cuts through a green field, a little way down it is a set of steps that lead down a bank to a stream where a boat is waiting for me. I get in the boat and let the current gently take me up the clear waters to my journeys destination, which will usually be where ever my imagination chooses. Deep relaxation..its very rewarding.

I have always thought that a mountain view with a stream was a beatiful place, as is walking through a forest of trees in Autumn colors or not, with sunshine filterring down through their branches, or simply the sight of the blue sky background to a line of evergreens with leafy trees in Autumn colors mixed through like God had just painted them there....all are wonderful.
