I bought a new receiver. I hooked up existing 5.1 speakers to this. I turned on- got no sound. I was using radio as source.

I subsequently disconnected all the speakers and tried with headphones (using radio as source). Still no sound.

The receiver's manual says to connect only speakers w/ 6-16 ohm. I discovered that my speakers were all 3ohm.
Could I have fried the unit?

I am not looking to buy cheap, just better priced, and near where I work in Miami Beach, Florida. A friend suggested getting a list of bank foreclosures from an agent, comparing them with other listed homes in the same area, and said that at least I could be sure the title to each would be "clear".
I have enough capital and credit to buy a couple of units, one to rent out.
What other advantages is this market likely to offer me?

We broke up a year ago, he was with another girl for a while, he recently broke up with her. He started being more friendly. The phrase "No Taxation Without Representation" might not implicitly apply to modern day circumstances, but the underlying idea that taxation without citizens consent is to be strictly prohibited most definitely applies. Unfortunately I feel that my state and federal tax contributions are being poorly mismanaged and as a paying citizen, I want to make a change.

2^3/2^1 (The numbers next to ^ are exponents) is equal to 2^2 or 4 in my algebra book. I know you have to subtract the exponents, leaving an exponent of 2, then divide the base...but that's where I'm having trouble. Why does it equal 2? Why not 1? 2 divided by 2 IS 1.

I would appreciate a thorough explanation, too. Thanks a lot!

Intercultural/Interracial Dating ???

It's inconceivable for me to understand the issues that still surround intercultural relations?

I was listening to a group of men talk (I don't want to get reported so I want state what they were) and some of the things I heard was incredibly stupid.

Yahoo answers is filled with bashing of these relationships too -- hahaha, but they person puts the question in a form so it doesn't same like they are bashing intercultural/interracial dating.

Why do people still hold reserves? Is there something I'm not getting?

My mother passed Bipolar disorder onto all 3 of her daughters (including myself) and I've been in counciling twice for major depression. I also have a serious concern about Borderline personality disorder. I have many of the symptoms of all three and I'm worried about them and my inablity to get medication.

I'm taking the gestational diabetes test today for my baby and I wasn't allowed to eat anything for 12 hours before the test and I can't eat anything until after they've taken blood 3 times in 3 hours, so I won't get to eat a thing until 1:30 this afternoon! That's 16 hours without food and I'm starving already! Seriously, if i nibble a couple Ritz crackers, will that mess up the test results? I can't take it anymore!

In my opinion the biggest problem facing baseball today besides the steroid situation is too many owners who care more about pocketing the money they make for themselves instead of making their team better. That's why teams like the Pirates, Royals, Devilrays, Marlins, will continue to go nowhere until Selig has some guts to force these owners to start making these teams competitive or he should only allow people who really care for what's best for the team & fanbase to buy these teams. For all the complaints about George Steinbrener at least he cares for his team & wants to always make them competitive. The other problem is the out of control salaries. They need to be a salary cap but thats a broken record already. If these salaries continue to go out of control many fans will soon not be able to go to the games if they can't already.
