i want to build my first ever pc system for personal use like word typing, internet, email, uploads digital cam videos, store loads and loads of pictures from photo album (really HUGE).

i have come up with the following spec:

Asus P5W DH Deluxe (Intel 975 - 1066 FSB Conroe)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Retail (2x2.4GHz 1066FSB 4Mb)
OCZ DDR2-800 2x1024MB
BFG Nvidia 8500GT 256MB PCIe
Windows XP

wil the motherboard, processor, RAM and graphics card work well together?

shall i use the heatsink and fan included in the processor box or use the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro CPU COOLER?

and also the WiFi icluded with the motherboard, will it be able to pick my internet wirless connection?

do i have to buy an external graphics card to connect to the monitor? which one would you recommend?

i also plan to use a 80GB hard drive for win XP and applications and a 320gb hard drive for data? is that good or bad?

any comments or suggestions please?

And does it REALLY bring you luck? Or is it just your favorite number, but you just call it your lucky number?

Mine, I guess, would be 7 but only because my DOB is 7-17-77, not because it gives me good luck (not so far anyway).

I am afraid of heights, but there are certain rollarcoasters i love to ride on. I live in Minnesota so I go to Valleyfair.

When i ride rollarcoaster, right at that first hill while going down freaks me out the most, but I can't seem to scream all the way. I let it all out and not even half way I feel a deep pressure in my lungs making me stop breathing and I can't exhale until after the dip.

What's up?

Im thinking of moving out of my parents house in sept. Things @ home aren't so good and i've been thru a lot bc of my father & his family. I know that if i move out its going to be final and my father has told me he will not take me back on any circumstances. Which is kinda tough if you think about it, bc anything can happen. I am a very responsible 23 yrs old, I have a job, I still go to college. The rent is going to be $452 a month, and i only make $10 an hr. Im so scared but @ the same time I do have to take a stand and take my life into my own hands. Ive never lived away from home, i dont know what im up for. I wont have caror cell phone, but public transprtation is closely available. My mom said she would help me out once in a while. I have some $$ saved up, but its just this huge fear in me like im gonna mess up & then my father wins bc he wont let me back in his house and tell me how stupid i was. Should i take the step & move out or stay and be unhappy?

I sure would appreciate it.

I think we can all agree, at a bare minimum, that discrimination in the workplace on the basis of gender is wrong. (If you don't, please skip this question!)

My understanding of the issue, though, is that the case was brought after the statute of limitations (as commonly interpreted) expired, and that the majority said Congress could change the law and correct any perceived error. They didn't rule against the concept of "equal pay," just on the statute as written by Congress.

Were they right to decide as they did? Why or why not?

Would you have done the same? Why or why not?

Is my characterization accurate, and complete?

Has any move been made in Congress yet to address this?

Thanks!

I want to find a new career, and I'm sort of thinking about elementary eduacation....1st-4th would be fine for me. I think I am a compassionate person, as well as understanding, fair, like kids, and have good morals/values. I think I would make a good teacher. Plus, I would love summers off!
What are the ups and downs of the job that most people don't know about?? How long does it take to get the degree? What is the pay? Thanks. Any other info is welcome too.

My grandfather committed a minor sex offense when he was 23 years old.
He took a leak in public and was seen by an 11 year old girl.
He was convicted of indecent exposure to a minor.
He is now 82 years old.
Because of the media frenzy on sex offenders and the fact he is a registered sex offender – the Old Folks Home kicked him out.
I don’t have the resources to take care of him and now he has NOWHERE TO GO.
NO other old folks home will take him because of his sex offense status.
Because the old folks home is private they have the right to deny.
Any government assisted old folks home won’t take him either – they have a right because of government bureaucracy.
It happened almost 60 years ago.
Three lawyers I have spoken to said there is nothing that can be done.
Does anybody know what can be done?

I have a boat dock. about 14 X 26. It's against my seawall, in a tidal, hurricane prone area of FLA> I have piles on the outside. Two of which are very tall. I have a slide mooring system that allows my 42 ft powercat yacht to float up and down with tides. I am concerned that the piles could give way from the mud floor and riip the whole thing away in a good storm. Tidal surge wont be a problem as I have the ability to go about 10-15 ft above normal. I think I need to add dolphins to the existing piles. I see them installed around my neighborhood. Kinda like three shorter piles in a triangle, or pyramid shape attached to the main pile. I think it can be done with water pressure? Any thoughts? Thanx.

It seems like everyone blames George Bush for anything that goes wrong. I'll admit, I don't like the guy and I think we could have a better person in office but he's not the blame for everything. He's blamed for the hurricane katrina rescuers not showing up in a timely manner, he's blamed for the war, gas prices, interest rates, high taxes, oil profits, he's blamed for bringing the towers down in NY. I'm tired of people blaming one another. Even in divorces, spouses blame each other and see no fault in themselves. Grow up people!!!! Only children blame each other. Blame yourselves for high gas prices. You drive those huge navigators and expeditions to the corner store when you can just walk there or ride a bike.
