I am afraid of heights, but there are certain rollarcoasters i love to ride on. I live in Minnesota so I go to Valleyfair.

When i ride rollarcoaster, right at that first hill while going down freaks me out the most, but I can't seem to scream all the way. I let it all out and not even half way I feel a deep pressure in my lungs making me stop breathing and I can't exhale until after the dip.

What's up?

A lot of people suffer from this. Including me. There are a few different reasons. One, and the most common, is, you are so scared, your body doens't focus to well. Two, second most common, you're too excited, that you are hypervenatlating, and your body doesn't want you to do that. Three, not too common, you are going too fast though the air. And four, you may have a lung condiuton, but that isn't common. I suffer from being scared and patly lung codition, just relax.

Good luck,

Your anxiety is making you stressed and all bottled up. You need to be treated for that phobia of heights and the resultant anxiety. Bach Flower Remedies (Essences) may help you. Look at the free online course at:

Mild panic attack maybe? I seriously doubt there is anything physical happening that is preventing you from breathing. It's most likely in your head.
