Hi. I am from LatinAmerica... and something I noticed and still don't quite understand here in the US is why white people are majorily the ones talking about immigration issues, invasion to their land, etc etc. while other groups like African Americans, natives, are much less involved in anti-immigration sentiments.
I don't want to generalize. (I know there are people of all races with different points of view) But living in this country I've encountered much more white people with anti-immigration,(and anti-illegals) views and comments... than African Americans, natives, or other groups of citizens here in the US.
I hope this question doesn't offend anyone. I would say that African Americans have the same right to have these views... since they are here almost the same amount of time that whites have,,, and native americans were here much longer before. Yet they seem to have less anti-immigrant feelings (and also anti-illegals).
This what I have seen from observation. Why?
