Just looking for the location of coal deposits and where they are mined in australia. i thought it would be easy but was alot harder than i thought. If u can tell me where in a list or u cod just post the websites that would be great too

From memory:

Brown coal - Latrobe valley

Black Coal - All around Sydney, I think there is a huge seam of coal in and around Sydney. It is 100's of sq km in size. Most of it is very deep, however it gets near to the surface where there has been geological activity. These main areas are Newcastle, Woolongong and Lithgow.
