Hi. I am from LatinAmerica... and something I noticed and still don't quite understand here in the US is why white people are majorily the ones talking about immigration issues, invasion to their land, etc etc. while other groups like African Americans, natives, are much less involved in anti-immigration sentiments.

I don't want to generalize. (I know there are people of all races with different points of view) But living in this country I've encountered much more white people with anti-immigration,(and anti-illegals) views and comments... than African Americans, natives, or other groups of citizens here in the US.

I hope this question doesn't offend anyone. I would say that African Americans have the same right to have these views... since they are here almost the same amount of time that whites have,,, and native americans were here much longer before. Yet they seem to have less anti-immigrant feelings (and also anti-illegals).

This what I have seen from observation. Why?

(or at least they don't seem to be as passionate about it)

I am not saying either side is good or bad. Everyone has a right to their own views... but what would explain this difference in views?

1 - you are mainly right - speaking in general terms.

2 - being for or against immigration, legal or illegal - has nothing to do with patriotism

3 - I am black, and I say bring em all here. Its not fair that whites want to shut the borders to this country and put up walls, when for hundreds of years, they came here from Europe with little or no hoops to jump through. At the same time, killing off native Americans and importing blacks as slaves.

I take the increasing interracial marriage and start cost as a demonstration that issues are turning out to be much less polarized, if purely incredibly. although as quickly as I got here approximately to this component a biracial woman, I discovered that we've not come as far as we would have thought. I discovered some undesirable issues approximately pals and others, individuals that up till then I had popular. I take human beings as human beings, no count what coloration. yet i comprehend that folk's reviews are different, ordinarily based on race, and that one's reviews impression all people's outlook.

First, Caucasians are still the Majority, and they are most likely to complain here, because they are most likely to have an internet access. Actually I think the ethnic group I see over represented in the immigration section is the Native Americans. It could be that I am from California, and there are few Natives seen in LA. As for Native AMericans, I see the opposite. A vast majority I see are against illegal immigration, and I only seen two who are supportive. I also question both of them being native AMericans, because of the things they have said in the past, makes me believe they are Hispanics.

i have met a lot of native Americans and blacks who feel the same way whites do. right now the majority of the blacks are sitting back and waiting to see what our crazy govt is going to do.

Because we're the MAJORITY. Because the Conservative party is mostly made up of whites and Conservatives, I think, are the ones who actually care about the integrity of the US, as in, they don't sympathize with criminals and when you come into a country ILLEGALLY you're a criminal.

White people have a lot to lose.

Blacks are starting to learn what illegal aliens are doing to their economic survival.

Even mexicans and other Hispanics here legally are starting to realize that America will become another rat hole like mexico if we do not control our borders immediately.

Comprende Paco?

Apathy. Plain and simple.

I don't believe they are any less anti-illegal just less vocal about their feelings for whatever reasons.

Interesting observation.

i dont know but my husband is latino and is against illegal immigration. and my black friend is against illegals too. it might just be the people you hang out with.

it could also be that white people are usually raised by thier parents to be patriotic.
