The United States has lost 3500 soldiers in 4 years in Iraq. This comes out to 875 deaths per year. In the United States, the murder rate is 16,000 per year. I wonder, which country is safer, Iraq or the United States?

I have a Linksys WRT54GL, and up until yesterday it was working perfectly fine. Now all of the sudden it will not work wirelessly, but if I plug a lan cable into the router I can get internet without a problem. The router is attached to a cable modem, and I am also able to connect a lan cable to my cable modem and get internet fine. For some reason when I try to connect wirelessly I do not get an ip. I am using DHCP, and I am also using a Mac with OS X. Any suggestions? I have tried a second router and it is having the exact same problem. I have also reset the router to it's defaul settings without any success. Can anyone help me out? I was thinking of flashing the router and updating the firmware, but I am not sure that would work or not. Help is appreciated.

I am seriously trying to understand:
Atheists call some conservative Christians "fundies", implying that they are close minded, etc...
However - some Atheists honestly and sincerely state their thoughts such as "when I die I will be food for worms" or "I stopped believing in imaginary friends when I was 7"

Would these statements not also reveal a certain amount of close mindedness?

In addition, I am trying to understand where one's hope lies if the assumption is that we are indeed "food for worms".

I know quite a few people who pretend to be bipolar so they can get an SSI check. I even know a psychologist who encourages this and writes fake reports and prescribes medicine telling the patients not to take it because it's just for show (usually they get high off it or sell it to other people) because he collects more money from his medic-aid patients. I reported it to DHS but I don't think it did any good. What do actual disabled people think about this?

Hey its going to be my senior year of v ball... and im kinda worried while only 3 of the girls from my JV team for grade 11 was on club team and 5 other girls from senior and one from anouther town... im still worried about senior try outs... i dident make it last year i came in from a differnt school and town... i was on the senior team in the 10th grade there but i JUST had my wisdom teeth taken out at try outs and was pretty much high on the court and nervous from the T3s... we just had awards and i dident get one... i know im a good player but i find some of the girls here are favoured im normally a power player... 5'7'' and a half, i think im good but in club i player right side cause im good at blocking... i know it would be easier at trying out for setter cause im taller then the other setters and good at blocking but i love power... what should i do... and if i dont make it do you think i should ask if i could train with the team and do stats on the bench?

Why blame god for all that is wrong in the world? We say, why cant god stop world hunger, why cant god stop war? Do you all realize that its up to us? because im 8 months pregnatn. for one, i keep missing work for doctor apointemtns they get all mad @ me becuase they have to carry the work load - i cant help it though! and usually they have me doing extra so they can stand around and talk. and now im nto wroking as fast they expect me to work like as fast as i used to be and ijust cant. they both are being rude, irritable and etc.. i have about one month til maternity leave. how to deal with this and do u think they will be over it when i come back to work in full force ( after i have the baby)??
