This is so ridiculous . A Yahoo News story says that a Bush war advisor expressed doubts about troop surge .. . . . . Big Friggin Deal !!!
I Wonder . . . . .How many of you know that many Generals disagree with EVERY decision made by ANY President ????
And they routinely disagree with other Generals just. . like .. them .
Anyways , believe what you want , and have whatever political affiliations that you want , but please. . .Please recognize pure propaganda and agenda .
Thank you . I'm Earnest T Phd/THC , and I endorse this question .

I am an old timer and I have learned how to spot it. For instance, if they want you to think an amount of money is large they will give you a dollar amount: "6 million dollars for phone calls!" If they want you to think the amount of money is small they will give you a percentage: "Only 15% of the budget for communications".
If a politician is arrested or accused of something bad look for this one. If the politician is a republican it will be either in the title or the first paragraph. If he is a democrat you will probably not find out until aroud the sixth or seventh paragraph. That is because editors know that most people only read the first three or four paragraphs of most news articles.
Just a few examples.

All of the media is engaged in the systematic propagation of doctrine, and the little people down here on the streets, have no frigging clue what is truly happening. Everybody is agenda driven and the plague of political correctness makes it difficult to know the true facts about anything. Most of the politicians are liars, however, there are some honest, competent, and truly dedicated politicians, such as Senator Orin Hatch of the U.S. Senate. Al Gore is a classic example of a propaganda peddler with an agenda. Aside, does Al Gore weigh over 300 pounds?

Well, if this question is endorsed by you, it must be worth answering.
You are so right. The media takes every iota of negativity on Bush and the war and presents it as though it were an overwhelming majority sentiment or, the rule instead of the exception. Why?
To foster those same negative sentiments and re-write the facts on any issue they choose, in the direction they choose.
I cannot believe people fall for this - like a herd of diary cattle lining up to be milked at 6am and 6pm everyday.
Gotta get their fix of what to think.
Critical thinking should be a forced curriculum starting grade one.

People will do and say anything to promote their own agenda. In this case his appointment as the Presidents advisor. He wants us to believe he has a mind of his own. That he is not just another of Bush's flunkies or a yes man. You see, he wouldn't have been picked for the position if he disagreed with Bush. He is most definitely a propaganda spouting political Bush wipe. On the other hand I'm not sure the media has anything to gain by telling the story.

I recognize propaganda and liberal media bias all the time on such channels as: NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and MSNBC.
1) CNN showed a cargo plane full of American soldiers caskets coming home.
2) MSNBC announced Al Gore's presidential victory in 2000.
3) CBS reported an unverified (and false) report about President Bush's military history.
4) NBC did a special about Jesus several years ago in which they stated that He was NOT the Son of God that He proclaimed to be.
That's why I don't watch these news channels.

Propaganda, the deliberate systematic attempt to shape perceptions.
Propoganda is a type of message aimed at influencing the opinions or behavior of people.
Propaganda can be dliberately misleading by using fallacies which though they can be convincing, are not necessarily valid.
Techniques include Patriotic flag waving, glittering generalities, intentional vagueness, over-simplification of complex issues, and rationalization.

Of course, politics runs on propaganda. Not just in the newspapers, but in the radio and in the TV. You turn on the radio thinking that there is soo much variety of music. Of course, all the stations are owned by one huge monopoly, which is probably owned by a politician, or someone close to one, at least. The same goes for TV. But, hey, that's freedom of the press.

Of course that there is propanganda, but it is a very sophisticated one, and much less evident than the one Chinese media are using to "educate" their people...
So now you awake, and what's next?
Just google a little to see who is controlling major media in the US, you will see that the ones who have an obscure owner always belong to a greater group with political agenda... Impartiality does not work in such society, now medias need to be liberals or cons just to get attention of their respective market, if they hold no stance, they are not credible in the eyes of the few that hold power at least...

The media, both right and left, push agendas all day, everyday. Right this moment, AOL is pushing a story saying that the Republican candidates were "bashing" Bush. Go to Fox News.com and the story reads much differently.
I take everything with a grain of salt.

A friend of mine sent me this quote I don't know who the guy is ,but I like it any ways..........
"The press today is an army with carefully organized weapons, the journalists its officers, the readers its soldiers. But, as in every army, the soldier obeys blindly, and the war aims and operating plans change without his knowledge. The reader neither knows nor is supposed to know the purposes for which he is used and the role he is to play. There is no more appalling caricature of freedom of thought. Formerly no one was allowed to think freely; now it is permitted, but no one is capable of it any more. Now people want to think only what they are supposed to want to think, and this they consider freedom."
