America is by far safer. I feel so sorry for the families of our fallen soldiers. I know we need to be there but i hope our soldiers are able to come home very soon.

None. We have our troops taking care of Iraquis, and that's not exactly working. Meanwhile, the US is left open for more terrorist attacks. I'm going to Dominican Republic, Bush, if you dont mind.

And you are forgetting about so-called total unrecoverable losses, i.e. killed and disabled because of heavy wounds (lost limbs, eyesight, heavy head and chest wounds, etc.)
The total unrecoverable losses in Iraq and Afghanistan are about 20000.

Good point. I'm sick of the media's ticker of casualties. People are going to die in a war and it's terrible. The media seems to relish reporting every one of them.
