Why do you feel embryonic stem-cell research in immoral?

Let's put it this way...embryonic stem-cells come from left over fertilized eggs. These eggs are sitting in freezers. These eggs will, eventually, just be thrown away after they are no longer wanted.

Anyway, here's the real question. If you were in a burning building and only had time to take one of the following, which would you rescue?

A) The 3 month old child sitting next to you?
B) The "freezer" with 500 fertilized eggs in it?

If the eggs are human, than 500 human lives would be saved. Right? However, the right choice is to rescue the 3 month old infant.

That being said, why can't we use those fertilized eggs to save a three month old child suffering from (you choose the disease) instead of letting them rot in a "freezer?"

Arm and Back hurt; Constantly Lifting?

I am a nurse so I am constantly lifting people from bed, helping them to stand, or turning them on their sides in bed. Some are a lot bigger than I am. recently our work has had a lot of workers (mid 20s - mid 40s) going down to working only part time and other workers taking time off with workers comp for reasons such as a bad back or arms hurting. how can I make sure this is not me in a few years?

Not all Democrats are against the war. Why do they make it seem like they are?

I have spoken with many friends who are Democrats and I have also heard Democrat leaders speak in favor of our progress in Iraq. They also see the need to continue our efforts in order to stabilize that country not only for the sake of the Iraqis, but for our own safety. I realize that most Democrat leaders speak against the war. Why do so many Democrats on Yahoo make it sound like it is absolutely the Republicans against the Democrats when that simply is not the case? Are they using this as a means to further the divide between two political parties and create ill feelings and aggression between the people?

I know the truth is Jesus Christ. What about you people?

Sometimes I feel like the only adults in the world are the Christians. There is a certain grace that we have that is lacking in the atheist world. It feels good knowing I'm saved. I don't care too much about those who may be lost, but I know Jesus does, so that's why I carry forth.

Did you know that you can be with your father in heaven forever. Just say these words :"Jesus, I am lost without you. I don't know anything without you holding me. I am naive and lost in this world. Please take me into your arms and cradle me, giving me the nurturing I need. No more immoral behavior. Just you and me"

Can anyone please help me with some simple exponent questions?

(I must use / for the radical sign)

Why does /-x^2 = -x if you're multiplying -x times -x wouldn't you get +x? Obviously you must be multiplying -x times +x but why would you do that if you're supposed to be multiplying the number by itself??

Second question is, does /-x^3 = +y or -y????

Third question is, /-x ^-2 = +x or -x????

Fourth question is /-x^-3 = +y or -y????

Fifth question is, does /x^-2 = +y or -y????
