Thank you! You too!
Like how it starts as audible and then it slowly....
ya or when they turn away and keep talking?
I agree with this is an issue however, I have one thing to ask you. Have you had a nerve deafness test done? You'd be surprised what sounds that are actually difficult to hear if you have it while others seems clearly audible. Most likely, the frequencies that you have MAY be the same as what your husband talks in and thats why any fading or turning makes it near impossible to make out. Blood pressure thats high can affect this as well...(Ever hear your 'heart beating' through your ears?) If it sounds like a possibility, get it checked just for both of your sakes and either way, tell him to speak up! LOL Good Luck!

First you can ignore him every time he mumbles. Second, if you do understand what he is saying, do the opposite. For instance, if he mumbles & asks you for a drink, bring him a sock. When he complains remind him that you can't hear him when he mumbles. Eventually he will begin to speak up, if only so you stop bringing him socks.

Not to sound rude but you need to be blunt and tell your husband that he needs to man up and grow a pair. It is not fair for you to have to teach them all on your own and be sure to tell your husband that if he cannot be a man and show his son how to be one, then you will be leaving him and your step kids and he can do all the teaching all by himself. You sound like a smart woman who tries to teach your child values but to be honest I think you are letting your 12 year old step son undermine you by letting him call you names. If you really want your husband to step in and him to stop calling you that then the next time he calls you the B word in front of your husband, slap the boy. He is old enough to know better than to call a female a biotch. And if your husband does not approve and says something to you then tell him that he should grow a pair and teach his son some values. Also tell him that you have been putting up with the name calling for awhile and you are tired of it and the next time he calls you that name you slap him again, although I doubt that will happen. The first and only time my mother slapped me was when I called her a biotch. And I never did it again. I hope this helps. Vote me best answer please!! Thanks.

I don't know. My husband does the same thing. I think it is rude behavior. When he mumbles, he is quietly thinking out loud.

Put a gag on him -- that'll make him stop!
Seriously, though, you have committed one of the classic blunders, the most famous of which is never get involved in a land war in Asia. But only slightly less well known is this: don't marry a man expecting to change him. He is what he is, and if you didn't like it you shouldn't have married him.
