I have a four year old that has ssensory issues, and likes to chew on things. We have discovered he likes shewy foods like marshmallows and licorice, but gets too hyper if he has a lot of sugar. I need good ideas for chewy snacks that are healthy and low in sugar. I have explored the whole foods stores and considered items such as dried pineapple, papaya, mango, etc. The problem is the added sugar. I have settled for dried apples with the texture of marshmallows. All good ideas will be appreciated.

I have been cutting for about two and a half years. I have tried many alternatives: rubberband, getting rid of all blades in my possession, writing, running, etc.., but nothing seems to help. I haven't been able to stop. I have been bulimic for about a year. I can stop sometimes, but other times I can't resist the urge. The more serious problem is my cutting. I have talked to my councelor at school and my parents. I have been trying to stop, but it just seems to be getting worse. I am fourteen and I want to live the rest of my life. If I can't stop then I won't be able to. I am scared and I need advice and help.

I love books that have a realistic 'voice', especially in the teen genre which is pretty hard to find.

Some of my all-time favorite books would have to be Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld, Crank by Ellen Hopkins, and The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah.

My number-one is Imani All Mine by Connie Rose Porter, I have read it at least 10 times and every single time I wind up crying my eyes out!!

This is not the part of the question. My curious logic seeking mind's remark only.

Disclaimer : I had assumed 100% that Historical/Bibal Jesus exist.

There was a farmer, sitting on the front porch of his house this one hot summer day, when this kid comes walking down the road carrying a big bundle of wire.

"Hey kid!" the farmer says. "Where ya goin' with that wire?"

"Well," the kid drawls, "this here ain't just any ol' wire, this here's chicken wire -- I'm fixin' to catch me some chickens!"

"You can't catch chickens with chicken wire!"

"Sure I can!" the kid says, and takes off down the road. He comes back at the end of the day and sure enough, he's got a whole mess of chickens caught in his chicken wire.

Well, the farmer's sitting on his porch the next day, and the same kid comes walking down the lane, carrying a big roll of tape.

"Hey kid!" the farmer yells. "Where ya goin' with that tape?" "Well, this here ain't just any ol' tape, this here's duck tape -- I'm fixin' to catch me some ducks!"

"You can't catch ducks with duck tape!" the farmer yells back. "Sure I can!" the kid says, and takes off down the road. He comes back at the end of the day and again, the farmer can't believe his eyes. The kid had a whole bunch of ducks all wrapped up tightly in his tape.

The next day the farmer's sitting on his porch again, and the kid comes walking down the road carrying a stick.

"Hey kid!" the farmer says. "Where ya goin' with that stick?"

"Well, this here ain't just any old stick, this here's pussywillow."

"Hang on," the farmer says, "I'll get my hat."
