This is a common misconception. People often want to believe that because these religions are monotheistic and claim Abraham as a patriarch, that they worship the same God. This myth is perpetuated by the Muslims, who want to draw people to them by claiming that Islam is the final of three ways God reached out to mankind. This belief is in error.

Any remote similarities between Islam and Christianity are at best superficial. The differences outweigh the similarities.

An example:

In Islam, the Qur'an states rather clearly, "Proclaim: Allah is One. Allah is Eternal. He neither begets nor was begotten." (Surah 112:1-4)

In Christianity, we believe that Jesus was begotten. (John 1:14) Jesus clearly states that He is God: "Truly, truly I tell you, before there was an Abraham, I am!" (John 8:58) Naturally, there are many other examples I could use, but it wouldn't really help.

Now, we have a conundrum. Either Islam is right, and Jesus is not God, nor begotten; or Christianity is right, and Jesus is God, and is begotten. We can't have it both ways. Islam will never hold to a belief that Jesus is God. And Christians will not accept that Jesus is not God, and is not begotten. Therefore, they do not worship the same God.

As for the Jews, you must understand that Christianity was considered a Jewish sect for decades. Jesus was Jewish, although the Jews don't believe that Jesus is God. They recognize only the Father.

For the last time, Jews do not believe that Jesus was a prophet. This is a very difficult question.
See each religion views itself as being a continuation of the previous version. Therfore according to muslims, they believe in the same god as the Jews and Christians,

Christians believe they worship the same god as the Jews but not the Muslims and the Jews believe they are the only ones who truly worship god.

Jews And Christains (Judeo-Christinaity) worship the same God but I would not say that Allah is the same as the Jehovah like the Jews& Christains belive (although Muslims will insist it is the same).

Reasons,
1. THe God of the Bible has UNconditional love. He IS love but In the Qu'ran He is only called love twice (al-wadud). There is not a single verse in the Quran that says Allah loves those who hate him.......we have Roamans 5:8.

2. THe OT and NT compliment each other well especially when it comes to Jesus. But the Quran would negate it.

3. According to Islam, the Torah and Injil (bible basically) have been lost and now the new revelation has been given=the Quran. However, there are so many things that it posits that self-destruct itself philosopically. One, is the issue of fighting and self-defense. (i cant expand here)

I have said some touchy things, Im sorry if I offended anyone. But I will be glad to sustain my position.

These are all monotheistic religions. That is, they believe that there is only one God. So, clearly, they must all believe in the same God.

Let's say I'm a Christian and I think that Muslims worship a different God than I do. That means that I think that there are two Gods, one that they're worshipping and one that I'm worshipping. Well, then I wouldn't be a Christian anymore because Christians don't believe there are two Gods.

They all believe in one God. Christians and Jews believe in Jehovah God and Muslilms in Allah. The problem is actually in whether they believe Jesus, the Son of God is God or just a prophet. Christians believe Jesus is God in the flesh who died for us so we could live and so do Messianic Jews. Orthodox Jews do not and neither does Muslims. I worship Jehovah God the only true God whose Son, Jesus died for me and lives. God bless

Yes. They just call him by different names. Although the Jews don't recognize that Jesus gave us salvation, the old testament was written by Jews who were clearly God's "chosen people" at the time.

The Muslims call God Allah; they believe in the same God as Abraham in the old testament.

And, of course, Christians believe in God and Jesus Christ.

No, Christians believe that Jesus came to earth. His life and death were done as the ultimate sacrifice so that all might go to heaven if they accept him as their savior, repent of their evil ways, and walk in the way He guides.

Jews believe Jesus was a prophet... not the actual messiah. They are still waiting for His coming. When ever that might be, and whom ever it is.

Muslims belive (if I'm correct on this) that God lives in each living thing. God is in us.

So, all three "gods" are not the same.

Jesus spoke against stealing as all adult men are created equivalent before their God. Mohamed have been given his initiate robbing caravans. How ought to the techniques from each and each be the comparable? The Bible and the Koran are diametrically adversarial and the Bible is the only religious writing to be shown by utilising purpose technology as certainty.

No. The God of the christians had a son who came and died for our sins. This son of Gods was perfect. So when He died his blood was considered to be a worthy offering for all of the sin of mankind.

The god of the muslims and the god of the jews did not have a son. They have nothing but prayers and goodworks to offer to their gods.

LOL.! No..Christians prey to Jesus and God.
Muslims prey to Muhammad and Allah. Jews just prey to God, I think. Wait, I think I get what you are saying,, --if you sort through all the malarchy and all these people from different religions are actually preying the same God, without knowing it? is that your point. According to which Religion that interprets your view, they would be going to hell, so that depends on basis you are asking that. That is way to awkward of a question, too many variables. Nice try though, if you are trying to unite all.
