your figures are a bit skewed man there is to much contradicting information to believe any of it really.

A lot of that money though goes to funding over seas bases as well as building overseas militaries. The US Military does a lot that most don’t even realize like multiple humanitarian missions all over the world. I mean ever time a navy ship sets out to drop off rice to whom ever that’s millions in fuel and other expenses. Either way i think it may be time to publish a comprehensive budget to the US population has a better idea of were the money goes.
All i know is im not feeling over paid in any way.

Finally, tax money well-spent. Our soldiers are worth every penny. Why do you think they call it MILITARY spending? For the purposes of DEFENSE.

50% of our tax dollar goes to the military.

That seems unnecessary to me. Why should we police the world? The only reason terrorists are attacking us is because they think we are a threat to them. They don't want us in their country. I think we should find Osama, bring him to trial, execute him and then close ALL of our overseas bases.

We can take care of ourselves. We don't need to associate with morally backward countries like China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Yemen, Syria, Russia, etc. They are beneath us. We should close our bases and tell the world that we will leave them all alone with the understanding that any nuke launched anywhere in the world will be considered an attack on the USA and we will react accordingly.

Conservatives on this site constantly make fun of liberals for wanting our government to take care of us from cradle to grave. How is that any different then our having bases all over the world to make sure all the other countries behave?

I think you should try to live on what they get paid, and I'm sure you don't put your live on the line, and then see how you feel about the spending.
