I'm in a transitional phase of my life, where i'm still in college, trying to figure out what I TRULY believe. What kinds of sources have you all used to find TRUTHS, and arrive at a particular political stand. I read one thing, and I want to lean liberal, I read another, and I want to lean conservative. I feel like I can be swayed easily one way or another by those who know more than me/can argue their points better. I feel like I have no "stronghold" of facts which make me INARGUABLY one or the other. What kinds of things should I be doing, and reading, to get unbiased, factual information from which to base a belief? I know..winded question..your thoughts??

I was tinkering with keyboard shortcuts and accidently programmed the key for open and close quotes. It now produces ("") when I press the shift key when it should just yield ("). I tried to repair it but repairing brought me more complicated issues!

So far, I have 77.78% in my math class. If the final is worth 200 points, and my overall grade (with the final) is 800 points, what percent do I have to score on my final to make an overall B?

We are two different countries with entirely different cultures, so who cares about who spells it color or colour, or where the "s"s and "z"s go?? Both countries are vast, glorious melting pots of communities from all over the world, just live with it and stop being ignorant!

I'm sixteen and I know this probably just sounds like I'm another idiot w/ a bad attitude but it's turning into a serious problem. My parents are grouchy it seems constantly anymore. They hardly ever seem happy and sometimes go off on me over small things. We struggle financially, and they work all the time, and the house is a mess because it's just too much cleaning for me to be able to keep up with as an only child. I'm never able to have any friends over because the house is a disgrace and it gets pretty boring being all alone. I will most likely not be able to move out for years due to money problems. Should I just get out of the house as much as I can at this point? thanks!

They 'booooed' our miss universe contestant. Why? apparently becuase she is american and they are not happy with our current administartion. Wouldn't you think that the fact that we have allowed over 12 million of their poorest into our country would get us some gratitude? NO? Then i guess the only way is to allow them ALL in. Thats right, how DARE we have a border? By the way, Canada does the same when our hockey teams come. But just TRY to become a Candaian citizen if youre from America. Guess open borders are a one way deal for our neighbors. What say you?

I can hardly find the mix in our grocery stores and there are no local takeout restaurants. My son & I love it (actually more of a craving for me) and we like to eat it at least every other day. Just the plain, egg drop soup recipe, please!

I'm sure a lot of you who are closed to anything that will change your mind since it's set in stone will be amazed at this. I know it's not done in practice, but then again, the same thing with women's rights not being honored is happening. What is going on now is cultural, and I'm trying to show exactly what Muhammad (PBUH) said about non christians.

http://www.islam101.com/terror/toleranceftf.htm

A deputation from the Christians of Najran (Yemen) came to see Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) in Madina. They came into the Prophet's Mosque (Masjid Nabawi) as he prayed the afternoon prayer. The time of prayers of Christians having come, they stood and prayed in the Prophet's Mosque, and the Prophet said that they were to be left to do so. (see The Life of Muhammad by A. Guillaume).

During the life of Prophet Muhammad, the Jews in Madina had a synagogue and an educational institute, Bait-Al-Midras. The Prophet preserved the institute and gave protection to the Jews.

This guys from ESPN made a very interesting point. Tell me what you think.

Deal No. 1: Phoenix trades Shawn Marion, Leandro Barbosa, Marcus Banks and the rights to Atlanta's 2008 first-rounder to the Lakers for Kobe and Radmanovic.

Now we're talking! Some of my favorite things about this trade include …

(A) The Lakers ending up with a nucleus of Marion, Odom, Barbosa and Bynum, along with Farmar, Walton, Turiaf and the No. 19 pick, as well as the inevitable Kwame Brown trade to a moronic team that convinces itself that Kwame's career could be salvaged. That's a pretty good foundation.

(B) Phoenix trotting out a starting lineup of Nash, Kobe, Raja Bell, Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw. Good golly. Sweet Jesus.

(C) Radmanovic realizing his manifest destiny of playing in Phoenix. It was meant to be from the moment Mike D'Antoni and Nash teamed up three years ago.

(D) Kobe and Raja as teammates. High comedy. The most improbable pairing since Rodman and Pippen 12 years ago.

(E) The most selfish player in the league (Kobe) playing with the most unselfish player in the league (Nash). What a fascinating sociological experiment. If Nash can turn Kobe into a team player, I'm voting him for our 2008 president even though he's Canadian.

Two potential problems: First, it's unlikely that the Lakers would be dumb enough to trade Kobe within their own division, although with Kupchak involved, anything's possible. And second, assuming that Nash has a say in front-office decisions at this point, would he really want to green-light a scenario that has him managing two enormous egos in Stoudemire and Kobe?

Well, lemme throw this at you: What if the Suns then swapped Stoudemire to Minnesota for KG, as I proposed in a May 14 column? That would give them the following crunch-time lineup: Nash, Kobe, Bell, Diaw and KG. Ladies and gentlemen, your 2008 World Champions! Just send them the trophy right now.

So that's my vote: Black Mamba, you're going to Phoenix to play with KG and Nash. And if it happens, I can guarantee that the 2008 playoffs will be more entertaining than the 2007 playoffs.

my complaint that I have been mis-sold an endowment mortgage. My contention is that the company have produced a document I have not previously seen illustrating the possibility of negative equity on maturity, which is different from the original I have on file. Now this clearly fraudulent misrepresentation which I have challenged the company on who deny such practice was going on to secure business. I cannot divulge the companies name other than to say they based in Hertfordshire. They have offered me a return of premiums paid plus a derisory level of interest to close the policy as I am some 22 years into the 25 year policy and some £6k on the value and £17k short on projection.

Anyone had the same experience of fraudulent misrepresentation
